I'm still super confused by Pats drafting Jimmy Garoppolo...

I mean, I get drafting a QB with the Mallet trade rumors, we need someone who can step up after Brady. But 2nd round? And I'm not even familiar with Jimmy, I'll have to read up on him.

Ugh drafting an injured player

Baalke loves to do this, see Tank Carradine and Lattimore from last year. Makes a ton of sense for someone like the Niners who don't have any gaping holes. Clearly, with the drafting of Justin Ward, Harbaugh and Baalke consider the secondary to be mostly fine.

I'm not a Kouandjio fan, won't last long term, had a rough year if you ask me. Glad I was drinking when the Bills took him. No clue about Preston Brown. Not the second round I envisioned, but I hope they both work out.

Edit: All three picks have been visits.

Played hurt have to look at his soph year.

To recap:

Draft -

DHB, WR - 4.25
Mitchell, S - 4.45
McCain, CB - 4.33

RAIDER EAST, MOTHERPLUCKERS!

After the Iowa TE came off the board I thought they'd just roll with quarless and push bostick as their next dude
His report doesn't instill much confidence, seems to be very raw
Apart from dudes with bricks for hands, I have the utmost confidence in our ability to find value WRs/TEs.

Even DJ Williams would be a starting TE somewhere if he could freaking catch the ball.

Not Mad at the Thomas pick. I like him to push Boone at guard next year. Awesome second day. Baalke listened, love Baalke when he listens.

Another edge rusher would be fantastic, though. Perhaps another interior line backer to have some insurance behind Willis and Bow, as well.

O-line depth should definitely be a priority. Luckily we've been inordinately healthy in that area the last couple of years, but you can't bank on that. I'd also go for another RB in the later rounds. Gore will be a corpse by the end of the year, we have no idea what to expect from Lattimore, and Hunter is a solid spell back but hasn't proven he can be a feature back.

+Stevie!

We'll see next year when we're letting up 400 passing yards a game.

Mallett's contract is expiring. He'll be gone for sure next year, if not sooner. They'll be forced to pick a backup next year anyway, so it makes sense for them to select one this year if they find a guy they really liked who fit their system well, instead of waiting til next year when they may not like any of the options available.

I'm pretty happy with Adams, won't even know JJ is gone.
Watching a bit of Rodgers now. A lot more impressed with his blocking than his catching, tbh. He's not big, but he positions himself well. He can run routes okay, and he can run when he catches it, but he just doesn't have much in the way of catch radius. It's basically, does it hit him between the numbers, yes/no

But none of these mid-round guys are perfect.

We're putting a lot of trust in Culliver. He made me nervous before the blown knee. At this point in the draft it's rare to snag a starter at CB amd we don't need anymore reserve level players there.

Think browns browns only have two picks left? WR will definetly be the next pick I think, we'll trade up if we need to. Fill out the rest of the needs in FA and Undfa, thinks guys like S. Holmes are still available

For sure, but I'm thinking why 2nd round? Would this guy even have gone until 3rd or 4th?

Belichick obviously knows a lot more than I do about it, it's just surprising. You're probably right that they saw him as a really good fit and wanted to make sure they got him

Interesting that the Bucs haven't drafted a QB. Maybe they're not as down on Glennon as they seemed, although the plan looks to be Josh McCown at QB. Maybe they'll take Brett Smith or somebody in the fifth; those rounds are usually toss ups anyway.

Huff is a great, great blocker Eagles fans. He's tough, versatile, and has a pretty heart wrenching story.

Chip is and was an integral part of his life and Huff will bust his ass for the team.

Well, we have Raiola's successor now, it seems. Unsure how I feel about grabbing him in the 3rd, though.

Eh, third round for potentially our new starting center in a year or so, I'm alright with that as long as the guy actually does pan out to be a decent player. Yes, we still have more immediate needs on the defense and you can say that a future-proofing pick goes against the whole "it's time to win now" philosophy, but frankly I never saw us "winning now" this year anyway, so if they didn't like any of the other secondary help around that area of their grading system, this is fine. I'm a little bit more concerned about Van Noy, and particularly the fact that we traded up for him, but I'm willing to see how he plays. He and Ansah already have a connection from college, so if they're able to make each other better then good.

...Taking Eric Ebron at tenth overall is still a fucking ridiculous chump move, though.

We should have taken Bridgewater at 29 and just been done with this future QB thing. He'd have been a better pick than Easley.

Ferguson seems like a reach and is raw. Good run stuffer. Sutton could be a steal if he plays like his lighter 2012 self where he put up Donald numbers. Looks like the defensive line is taken care of now time for a safety, running back, and fuck it another safety. Da Bears.

I would say LB too.
