I really hope the Browns know something about the Josh Gordon fiasco that we don't know. I can't see why they haven't taken a WR at this point. It's like all those others years where they draft a QB only to have him rely on Dennis Northcutt and shit.

Even if Gordon wasn't suspended, you need options. Cameron has proven to be quite amazing but he's not going to be able to pick up the slack that Gordon will leave.

They definitely seem intent on improving their defense even more though. I guess they know their best offense is Andy Dalton but they should figure out that they only play him twice a year and he can't donate points every game.

well they hadnt planned to draft WR and it would just be reactionary to reach for a WR when they had a plan in place. It shows more positive about the new management that they arent panicking. If he's gone for a year, he just is. Find a reciever who can be a role player and go with it. Its not like one star WR has made the Browns into champions.
They filled a lot of needs with the draft in other places and they can worry about the WR situation after the draft is taken care of.

Hoping RB Storm Johnson gets picked up. Hell of a back and catches too. But there are rumors he failed the combine drug test, which is obviously hurting him.

Eh, it looks like they're thinking long-term instead of just for this season.

Cajun I knew I could count on you!

Pulled up Nate Freese's profile on nfl's website just like I have for all the Lions picks. It posts his height and weight...and that's it. No writeup, no stats, not even a photo of the guy, and it's not like Boston College is some nowhere school. Guess the NFL really does hate kickers!

Seantrel Henderson's finally off the board, drafted by the Bills.

Still remember when he was being talked about as a future 1st overall.

Good news. I like this draft outside of the first round pick.

Oddly enough so do I...but that first pick is just so, so very bad that I still walk away from this year's draft with a terrible overall impression. That they picked up TJ Jones infuriated me over getting Ebron all the more.

Enough with treating Stafford like he was a fourth round flyer. He will succeed or fail this year, and Mayhew will succeed or fail with him. It's that simple. If it were up to me, I'd have fired Mayhew on Thursday night.

This draft doesn't have me feeling as good as last years but time will tell.

And I would have fired Mayhew with the coaching staff. If you fire him after this season they'll be dealing with a GM who is stuck with a staff he didn't hire himself. Shitty spot to be in.

But it's not even Mayhew. Stafford is the one this whole franchise hinges on. He fails we are fucked. And thus the rebuild begins again and CJ's prime was wasted just like Barry's.

The Ebron pick was awful. I would have been ok with using the first pick to address an immediate need like improving the secondary or even upgrading the o-line with Lewan.

Outside of that I'm excited about Van Noy ,Freese, and the DT from Princeton. I think that those three are most likely to make an impact next year.

I'll take a wait and see approach with the other draft picks.

Woo! Lions drafted a kicker in the 7th!

I miss Jason Hanson...

I miss Hanson too. He was pretty reliable. Hopefully Freese can bring similar production.

David Akers sucks.

I don't care about bringing in a new management group with a lame duck coaching staff. If they fail this year and Mayhew is broomed out, then Caldwell and company deserve to pack their shit and go just the same because it means that they likely failed at the one job they were brought in here to accomplish--getting Matthew Stafford's shit together.

They keep saying that the time to win is now. They picked a goddamned tight end luxury weapon tenth overall. If the offense is not unstoppable this year, then it will never work with Stafford at the helm and it will be time to completely blow up and rebuild the team. No Stafford, no Calvin (not in any meaningful capacity by that point, with his body breaking down), sure as fuck no Suh, probably not Fairley. Pick up a new quarterback and hope for a brighter future two years down the line from then.

I hated the Ansah pick last year but he was pretty good for us so I have no problems with Ebron seeing as they're gonna be using him like a Jimmy Graham. But we'll see
