Give me a week or two. Right now my ankle can't rotate at all on it's own, and just barely forcing it with the hands.
Once it can move and I can balance with a single support, I'll have a cane.
5 guys has to be the most inconsistent burger place ever. One time it will be great, next time it's complete shit. The fries really depend on what potatoes they have at the time.
That reminds me. Why the heck is comcast not a selectable provider for watch espn on android? On pc or ios (I think) they're supported but not on android. Dumb.

Just got back from my first physical therapy session. Damn my ankle is so locked up right now. Got a bunch of little exercises to do at home, and like 5 more weeks (2 times per week) of PT scheduled.
I can at least stand up and put about 30% pressure on my right foot while wearing a boot now though....
I can't imagine doing something like this, then going into football months later. I feel for guys that do serious bone damage. Much respect, granted it's only been 4 weeks since I had surgery at this point.

Anyone getting Madden on PS3 this year.
I actually liked last years a decent bit (and was obliged to buy it since Packers are #1 on it, and have Madden Moments from SB), but haven't decided if I want to grab 13 or not.
I'm actually about 70% there with starting a football blog this year. I already waste so much time charting after games and hating myself anyways - might as well make something useful out of it.
Plus I went to Journalism school, so I can hook classmates into writing with me.
I'll do a write up on the Falcons when I get home tonight.
I think the Cajun fries are the only good thing about 5 guys, probably the only reason I go there once in a blue moon. A medium fry is a huge overflowing cup of them, which is pretty awesome if you don't mind having a heart attack in a few years.

At the time it seemed like it was. Shaq seemed to be posting confirmation but nothing since. Lakers probably trying to convince Nash to accept Richardson
I took this on myself because I am bored and waiting for laundry to finish!
The Detroit Lions are coming off their first playoff appearance in over a decade. Under the tutelage of head coach Jim Schwartz, Detroit has seen a healthy improvement in wins during each of his 3 seasons. If this logic continues to persist, the Lions are slated for a 14 win season this year. I’m ok with that. But the offseason was a very rocky one involving a lot of arrests, team infighting, and immaturity. Some say this stems from the lax nature of our head coach while others believe its young team dealing with the spotlight and unacquainted with success. Hopefully all these shenanigans are behind Detroit and they’re focused on the season ahead!
[QB]- Matthew Stafford (aka: Fattfford) played his first full season in his 3rd year as a pro and really showed he belongs in this league. A lot of people attribute this to Megatron’s imposing presence, but who wouldn’t just toss it to that stud? While Stafford has established himself as a very talented QB in this league, it remains to be seen if he can continue to remain healthy and lead this talented team for more than just 1 season. Backup Shaun Hill is very reliable while rookie Kellen Moore shows promise as the 3rd string QB in camp.
[RB]- This is a position of concern. Jahvid Best continues to have problems staying healthy after a serious concussion in his final year of College ball. Mikel Leshoure has looked good in his limited snaps in training camp (leg problems), but is suspended for the first 2 games of the year. Kevin Smith came in and played well late in the season last year and has solidified the day 1 starting role. Detroit is so thin at RB, they have been trying packages with KR specialist Stefan Logan as the tail back. FB Keiland Williams is used as a short yardage back and will continue to play that role this year. Look for Leshoure to be a strong presence on the offense when he returns.
[WR]- Megatron is still Megatron. Media has been saying he looks bigger, stronger, and faster in camp; which is really a nightmare for other teams. Burleson is a savvy veteran at this point and a reliable #2. Titus Young returns after a pretty impressive rookie campaign as a reliable deep threat and is apparently having a stellar camp. Rookie Ryan Broyles was a surprise pick this year, but has all the talent in the world. He is still recovering from a serious injury from his Oklahoma time, but has looked impressive in his time on the field. Calvin Johnson has been impressed with him, going so far as to say he is the strongest guy on the field.
[TE]- Brandon Pettigrew was as solid a TE in the league as there was last year. He is a great blocker while his size and talent allow him to create match up problems. He does have inconsistent hands at times, which can be infuriating. Tony Scheffler could be a starting TE for a lot of teams in the league and is a wonderful target for Stafford to abuse. He is a tough matchup for most linebackers in the league and committing a safety to him leaves a deep threat like Young or Johnson with one on one situations. Great weapon who provides a lot to the offense. Will Heller is reliable 3rd TE.
[OL]- Fans(myself included) have been begging for an Oline upgrade for years and Detroit got a steal in the draft with rookie tackle Reilly Reiff. He has looked good in camp and is working his way up the depth chart. The starting OL is in tact for the 3rd straight year. Tackles Jeff Backus and Gosder Cherilus anchor the line. Backus is usually the target of criticism from fans, but has been a solid tackle for years. Cherilus gets much more hate than he deserves as well and has been a consistent player. Rumors have been flying that he looks great in camp and really solidified himself as the starter at RT. Rob Sims has been a stellar pick up from Seattle and really helped this line from continuing its revolving door at guard. The improvement he has brought to Jeff Backus’s play is noticeable too. Stephen Peterman is garbage, but all we have at RG. Dominic Raiola is the teams long time center and still a mediocre player. He is the vocal leader on the line and a decent pass protector. Ask him to run block, though, and take notes on what not to do as a run blocker. Not a bad group at all, but could use some improvements.
[DL]- Arguably the strongest part of the team and among the best in the league, this unit really underperformed last year. Vandenbosch and Avril anchor the end spots. VB is a veteran who brings a lot to the table, but its obvious his effectiveness is being diminished. Avril is an overrated DE who benefits from top tier DT play to boost his numbers. Willie Young and Lawerence Jckson are the backups and both talented players. Young is a potential pro bowler who played really well last year in a limited role and should get more chances to shine this year.
The DT position is filled with talent and has a ridiculous 4 man rotation to keep them all fresh. Suh is an incredible talent who needed to refocus himself this offseason, and it sounds like he has. Nick Fairley is another supreme talent, but has a lot of immaturity issues. He played a limited role last year because of a nagging injury, but he has put on more muscle over the offseason and has a chance to live up to his potential this year. Corey Williams is as solid a starting DT as there is in the NFL. Great against the run and can put pressure on. Some offside penalties are of concern, though. Samie Hill is a forgotten talent by most fans, but he is still a great option and gives the team flexibility at DT.
[LB]- The starting 3 are Levy, Tulloch, and Durant. This is a veteran corp who ply really well together and are very reliable. Tulloch is the best tackler on the team (not really an achievement for this team) and a top 10 MLB in the league. Levy is a 3rd round pick from Mayhew/Schwartz first draft and has been great. He plays smart and seems to constantly be around the ball. Durant is a solid OLB with great instincts. He does struggle in coverage a bit. Rookies Travis Lewis (how did we get this guy in the 7th? Steal of the draft!) and Tahir Whitehead have both been getting a lot of praise and 30 year league vet Gunther Cunningham has gone on the record to say they are light years ahead of any rookie he has ever coached. Rookie Ronnell Lewis, 2nd year player Doug Hogue, and Veteran Ashlee Palmer help round out a unit that has much more depth to it than last year.
[CB]- The bane of my existence for over a decade, the CB position is still a concern. Chris Houston returns as a starter and has been a surprisingly good pick up. He credits the time he plays against Megatron in practice to his improved play. The loss of Eric Wright (is it really a loss?) has slated an open position opposite Houston. Alphonso Smith is a playmaker, but often has lapses that create big plays for the other team. Jacob Lacey was picked up from the Colts this offseason and is just a depth player, imo. The real story is about rookie CB Bill Benteley, who has drawn praise from every single media member and coach thus far. Looking forward to seeing more of him on Friday, where he will be starting. Rookie Jonte Green has also shown a lot of promise in camp. Raw, but promising.
- Fuck you Louis Delmas and your injuries. Learn to stay healthy for more than 3 games at a time and I’ll evaluate you. This position, in general, is a mess. Delmas is our most talented safety, but had knee surgery on Tuesday. SS Amari Spievey is a converted CB and is inconsistent. He shows flashes of brilliance and then flashes of dumb fuckery. Erik Coleman is a solid 2nd string guy who can be productive when called upon. I know very little about backup SS Sean Jones, but he has seen significant playing time in camp. Special Teams guy John Wendling has been a surprising player, who is reliable when called upon. This position really needs rehaulng.

Overall, there is no reason the Lions shouldn’t improve on the 10-6 record of last year….. on paper. But they play in arguably the best division in football against 15-1 GB, a likely improved Bears team that underperformed last season down the stretch without Cutler, and an improving and dangerous Viqueens squad. Fortunatly this is balanced out by the NFC West and the AFC South this year. Thank God. Hopefully we see more of these playoff style berths this season, and perhaps more!
This gradual introduction shows the difference in how the game changes on either side of the ball. Offensive evolution tends to come in creative flashes. Some intrepid coach rearranges his players into a new formation or devises a new tactic, and for some period of time defensive coaches struggle to make sense of it. If that struggle persists, the notion grows into a fully formed offense the West Coast offense, the wishbone, the Wing-T.
With defenses, instead of sudden bouts of innovation, they often morph through the slow gravitational pull of offensive evolution never too far behind but never quite able to catch up to the latest and best ideas. This year, as defenses work to contain the newest passing attacks, hybrid defenders are the latest. But like all bets on the future, it may take 20 years to see who had it right.

Good work goldie, but don't expect Broyles to be a something he's not. He's not a burner. He can probably get deep on a scrub #3 CB, but he's really just a very good slot guy. Just has knack for getting open and is a good YAC guy. We always want to compare these guys to Welker, but I just don't think he's that fast. But he's much more gifted than a guy like Amendola. He is fearless and is a hard worker. High character guy you can use.
He could rack up huge numbers with all the space CJ creates, but he really did have a bad injury. Might take some time to get quicks back

Not only is Marcus McNeill not playing for the Chargers, he is not playing any more for anyone. He has decided to retire.
