Only one important game for me this week:

Indianapolis at Chicago, 1:00 p.m.

The Bears defense against Manning (and the Colts). I wish Urlacher didn't get hurt. :(

Miguel, your Texans better beat the Packers. Or else!

Yeah....well, hopefully I'm not this unlucky. Tiki has the potential to run loose on us the same way KC destroyed us but seeing how the D played last week...i can only see good things happening. New QB in NY might disrupt some things in their offensive flow and maybe Tiki won't get off. If we can get an early lead, Tiki won't be a factor, that's the key.

Who am i kidding, Vick could be like 6-23 115yrds 0TD 3 INTS and we lose by 40...it's like being a Knick fan in the 90's and seeing which John Starks we are going to see that day :p

Another thing to think about too is Kerney, Coleman and the guys will probably be extra hyped for this game because I don't think they want young Manning to have his first big game against them.

So who wants to predict how badly the Redskins will lose to the Eagles on Sunday? Or will Ramsey somehow inspire the Redskins to the greatest comeback since the Red Sox? :lol

I'm going for 34-14 Eagles over Redskins.

For what it's worth, as a Bulls fan watching those classic playoff series in the 90's, I'd shit my pants everytime he'd come into the game. If I have any heart problems when I get older, I'm going to blame Starks for making my heart stop several times when I was in my all-important developmental years.

Hold yer applause.

I dunno. It feels like we (Giants) are cashing it in for the year. I said 5 wins all season would make me happy, and I'll stick by it, but I'm nervous about Eli. He's only really handed it off though, so who knows what he is capable of.

I just hope we don't have to sit through 68763487468796366354 audibles per play.

yep. bet the house on Indy.

i'm a bears fan first...but i'm realistic. our secondary simply cannot stop the colts offense. i really dont think any d in the league can stop them. you need an offense that can outscore them. the bears have about THE worst offense in the league right now. =(

and so as not to bump last weeks thread, i will just quote out of it:

Who wouldve thought the colts would lose at home to jacksonville. Its not a sure thing, they have lost to teams with a great defense and crap offense and teams with a great offense and crap defense. The whole Moss thing is debatable, when they were both healthy Owens was still leading the NFL in recieving Tds for all but one week and had more yards. Not to mention the fact that Culpepper is probably a more accurate QB.

If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Houston/Chicago to win straight up...

What ever happened to betting based on odds, not point spreads. :(

50 bucks on Houston and 50 bucks on Chicago could potentially turn into 2000 bucks :p
That is...if there were 20:1 odds on Green Bay/Indy.

Have any of you guys who pick the games every week kept track of your record? I'd be curious to see just how well some of you do at picking games.

I hope we can beat buffalo, we'll be in good shape if we do. I'm not worried about their offense as much as their defense and special teams bitchslapping us.

Yeah, I'd be interested to see that. Otherwise it's kinda worthless. Good job not picking Dallas though!

If you're that interested just search through all of the NFL week whatever topics and go to NFL.com and figure out where you stand.

I've been picking games in two other pools, one on yahoo, and one on a Steeler site, and I'd say I've been picking correctly about 55% of the time. Which, really, kinda sucks. Last year I was in the 65-70% range. This year, without a doubt, is one of the hardest I've seen in terms of making picks.

Is NO ONE picking KC to beat NE this week? Why not?

because Dillon is going to demolish KC's pathetic run defense.

Word from local radio here in KC is that Holmes is going to visit the same doctor in Florida that worked on his hip, so he's possibly out the rest of the way. Not that'd it matter, considering the season is already in the toilet. I just hope he doesn't retire.

This week, not many people are picking Kansas City for good reason. Unfortunately, I think the Chiefs are going to win, because that's their history. Since I started watching them in 87-88, they've been able to beat the best teams in the league, and then turn and lose to the worst teams in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went out there and got thrashed, or if they went out there and beat down the Pats just when it didn't matter. I'm not expecting a close game either way.

I told FMT and DM last night that the Bears were going to beat the Colts 17-10 on Sunday.

I am mistaken.

What I forgot to mention is that Krenzel is going to have his breakout offensive game on Sunday. The Bears offense is going to look like the colts offense. We are going to put up 500 total yards on the Colts D, while the Bears D is gonna contain the Colts offense to 150 total yards and 3 picks for Manning!

Bears win 42-10

The skit showed "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan, wearing only a towel, provocatively asking Philadelphia Eagles receiver Terrell Owens to skip the game for her as the two stood alone in a locker room.

Sheridan, who is white, drops the towel and jumps into the arms of Owens, who is black.

Dungy (pictured, left) was not impressed.

"I thought it hit at a lot of stereotypes toward athletes -- black athletes in particular," Dungy, who is black, said Wednesday. "I thought it was very insensitive on the heels of the Kobe Bryant situation, and I just don't know that the Eagles (public relations) people or the NFL would have let it go had it been a different player or a coach or an owner."

In Philadelphia, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb wasn't quite as vocal, saying he didn't find the segment offensive and believed people were overreacting.

"Some people do different things," McNabb said. "Not saying that my wife would allow me to do that, but it's just something that was done, and you move on."

Owens wasn't at practice Wednesday, excused for what the team said were personal reasons.

Some players were shocked at the skit.

"My mouth dropped when I saw that," said Washington Redskins tight end Mike Sellers, who was watching the game with his wife.

But at least one of his teammates wasn't bothered.

"I thought it was kind of cool, myself," linebacker Marcus Washington said. "I enjoyed the skit."
