Judging by his facial expressions and body language, I think Peyton wants back in. I bet he thinks he's got a shot at ten.

His ability, those recievers, Detroit's willingness to comply - I think ten is possible. Tony, do your job!!

the colts offense is a lot like the '99 rams offense... only without the turnovers. yowza!!!!1

anyways, i dont care how SHITTY the colts offense is, someone is going to have to get lucky as fuck to beat these guys in the playoffs. and if the colts get homefield throughout (which i seriously doubt, but who knows), then i guarantee they will be in the superbowl. when your offense is putting up 30-40 points a game (i don't care WHAT teams it's against) it's going to be tough to lose. peyton is fucking ridiculous man

oh, and CK...yeah, I'm in Detroit, but we decided to give the tickets to my grandparents, since they really wanted to go, and they might not be around very much longer blah blah.
I was against it, personally ;)

:lol What a fucked up grand kid. :lol (Though I would have never given them up ;p)

I just hope next week that all of Peyton's TDs are to Harrison so I can hang in there with Em in FF. DM just got RUN this week and it's only ONE player. :lol 40 points from Manning alone... God.

Well on the plus side I got 24 from Harrison. :lol

Cowboys on the board. Julius Jones is lighting it up out there.

And Drew's throwing a perfect game!

OK, he's 1 for 1.

I'm surprised to see the colts' defense actually starting to play a little. maybe they're realizing how bad they are and have decided to try and step it up to avoid being cut if any good defensive players can be drafted/traded for by indy.

:lol at Cowboys VS Bears.

Did people actually think Drew Henson would do well? That he would make a case that he is the QB of the FUTURE!? TEH MIND BOGGLES

I know I was. that was one of the bigger wtf moments for me this season. I mean Vinny is a decent QB looking at his whole career, but it seemed pretty obvious by like week 5 that he was way past his prime.

Wasn't there an idea being thrown around awhile back to cycle the turkey day games around the league? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere.

And I agree totally. I've been saying the same thing for a while. Homefield is a guaranteed fucking SB appearance...on the road I still think they can do it, easily.

man, the Fox announcers ripping the Bears all day was goddamn classic. My entire family was laughing so fucking much. So hilarious. And yeah, we're all Bears fans...but man, some of those comments were so fucking great.

You think the Colts can go to the Superbowl on the road through teams like Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and New England easily? It isn't going to be easy for anyone coming out of the AFC. Go and beat the Pats for once and then people will start to take the Colts seriously.

With that said, I personally would rather see the Steelers play the Pats then the Colts. We are not in the Colts heads like the Pats are. Then again with the way our defense is playing......

Holy crap, even in person that game was boring. The Bears were lucky the score wasn't worse -- there were about 3 plays where the Cowboy's safetys shoud have intercepted the ball. They just completely dropped it. :lol

And the fans booing was great! When the PA guy announced Vinny was in the game, there was a collective sigh, then laugh. :lol :lol

Colts will have homefield in the first round. they'll win. and yes, they can beat either NE or Pitt on the road...especially Pitt. Both on the road is tough as hell...but if they only have to play one, yes they will win. and go on to the SB.

"When he's retired, they'll compare everybody to Peyton Manning, without a doubt," Colts receiver Brandon Stokley said.

yep. Peyton will go down as the GOAT. He's only 28 right now. Insane.

There's still a lot of doubters (had to hear from them at thanksgiving dinner), but as we know, far as the colts go, it's all up to Peyton. If he's playing like this in the playoffs then there's no stopping them.

Even then, there's still room for improvement. I want them to try to play ball control, smash mouth style football when the circumstances dictate it (like severely cold weather, or a defense that manages a good pass rush or stiff resistance). Every game is not going to have this fast break offense, there's going to be a time (probably in the playoffs) when they'll need to smash it with Edge, short passes to the TE's, Edge out in the flats. You know, actually running the ball when they have 3rd and short. They need to improve to the point that they can play both fast break, and ball control when they need to, and still score 30 plus.

They are getting there, but this is more of a mental thing. One reason why I think they lost last year because they were in fast break mode, and refused to break out of it until they lost all the momentum. I think they had one drive in the second half that was almost all Edge, running, catching passes in the flats, and they went right down the field (even with the cheating secondary). The Colts will have to believe in that type of ball, and believe they can still score a lot of points anyways.

All this tough talk after you beat the Bears? :lol

The Colts are not balanced enough to win a Superbowl imho. Especially with all the cheating the refs let New England get away with in the passing game, I just can't see them beating New England in January with their defense. If they try to fly around the field with New England or Pittsburgh, they will lose big time in January. It is one thing to play that way inside a dome, but you can't do that stuff on Heinz field, our turf is too shitty for that type of game. I could still see the Colts beating anyone in one game, but you act like they are unstoppable. Colts fans need a reality check, hell I don't even remember the Steeler fans proclaiming we won the Superbowl after we humiliated New England and Philly back to back.

colts will go to the afc championship game again this year IMO. although I'm not quite sure how the bracket will play out, maybe they will face new england before that. if they don't, though, colts-steelers AFC championship game if you ask me. indy could maybe win that as the steelers don't have a really dominant secondary, but their secondary is good enough and they probably have the toughest blitzes in the NFL just because of the sheer toughness of their front 7.

personally I think the pats just have peyton's number, and that's the only real reason why they've beaten indy. Well, that and they obviously play dirty.

Insane numbers from Manning...wow, what a career that boy is going to have, baring any injuries he will go down as the best ever, regardless how much the media wants to push Farve into that ranking.

Ahh, finally a voice of sanity.

I think the reason the Colts don't match up well against the Pats is that they are too one dimensional. The Pats are the best at taking away a single aspect of your game with their defense. The Colts could beat the Pats in theory, if they used a run heavy offense and resisted the temptation to go downfield early and often. You can't win outside in the NFL in January using their current Madden 2005 offense. You have to be able to grind it out. Indoors is of course another story.

Colts would give the Steelers a handful, then again I don't think their defense could stop us either and if we are healthy we would be able to slow down Peyton just by running the ball. Still, the Colts always scare me because they have that ability to jump out with a huge lead and stop the other team from running.

AFC playoffs are going to be awesome this year. :D

Seriously. The potential AFC matchups right now are intriguing across the board. Pats/Colts rematch, Pats/Steelers rematch, Steelers/Colts, and the Ravens D or the X factor Chargers against anybody. The only team I'm not sure about because I haven't really seen them play too much is the Broncos.

The NFC right now just can't compete with any of those scenarios.

Well, I think the Steelers look like the best team in the NFL at the moment and we all know Philly chokes, and no one else besides the Falcons in the NFC look like they're NFC Championship material.

It will be interesting to see what gameplan the Steelers come up for the Messiah this week. I am hoping they open it up a little, but realistically they should just keep running the ball with Duce back in and let their defense control the game agaon.

:lol seriously.

Their offense is totally incompetant. Bill has been super conservative all year though and I see now reason why that is going to change tommorrow.

10-1 here we come!

Yeah, it's not like I picked the Colts to go to the Superbowl during the preseason or anything. Oh wait, I did.
Pay attention to these threads if you're gonna make comments like that.

Dumbass.

Colts going to the Superbowl is a legit pick. I don't know what that was in reference to, but I believe it was you claiming that the Colts could easily beat the Steelers on the road in the playoffs. I thought that was a little ridiculous. In fact I would say it is impossible if the refs let us play Patriot ball. :D
