I don't understand why it isn't automatically reviewed because it's a scoring play. Wouldn't they check the entire play to see whether it should stand?

Guy was tackled and obviously down, but got up and started running again after the play. Touchdown. 15 yd penalty against Detroit for asking for a review.

Texan was down but whistle wasn't blown so he ran it in for a TD. It would have been reviewed and called back if Jim Schwartz hadn't thrown a challenge flag out on a scoring play.

I still don't understand how asking for a review meant they couldn't review a play they were going to review. I mean, what?
Because it's an automatic review anyways. Think of this rule as a stupid check for coaches, which Schwartz failed in a miserable fashion.
