Any snow in the forecast for the Steelers/Jets game? Curtis loves him some snow. Regardless, my boys are gonna pull it off.

Ahh, yes. That was the infamous snow game where the "magnificent" Mularky calls 38 pass plays when Bettis was averaging 4.3 on the ground and where he watched Martin average well over 5 ......just brilliant. I don't miss those days.

That's what you think. The 49ers will crush them in the regular season, and the embarassment will cause them to fold in their first game of the playoffs.

That would officially be the greatest thing of all time.

The only way it could be better is if at the end of the game Brady announced his retirement or was arrested for all those heinous crimes we know he gets away with.

Buccaneers (+5) over CHARGERS
Here's another possible Letdown Game. You have the Bolts coming off three straight emotional AFC West wins. You have USA Today and Sports Illustrated running features on them. And most importantly, you have Marty Schottenheimer jumping ahead of Jack Del Rio for the coveted "2004 Best Speech Giver" Award thanks to his "Inside the NFL" performance this week.

(In case you missed it, first Marty unleashed the "Let's go out there and play Chargers football -- take care of the ball on offense, take away the ball on defense" pregame speech. After the game, he pulled the "Everyone close their eyes for 20 seconds and reflect on what we just did" routine -- a rehash from his KC days, but effective nontheless. And while we're here, I think we need to hire Denzel Washington to help Herm Edwards out. It's getting embarrassing. He's bringing back memories of the old SNL skit where Chris Kattan played the incoherent public speaker -- "We need to go out there and AHEWHW DHDGAG DMSMSM SNHSHSH!!!!)

:lol :lol Sports Guy rocks.

i'm 100% sure we are going to win behind a strong game from ken dorsey this weekend. we played the rams tough, and probably should have sent the game into OT. the offensive line started to assert itself in the 2nd half of the rams game. infact, looking at our schedule, i think we can win our next 4 games. arizona, washington, buffalo and new england.

we've already beaten the cards once, the redskins are a joke, old man bledsoe can't escape the death grip of jamie winborn, and the entire patriots team will be too busy jacking each other off while talking about "NOT IN OUR HOURSE! NOT TODAY! YEA YEA! WEZA TEAM GUVNUH! WHATCHOO THINK ABOUT THAT! RAVUH BE ON A SUPERBOWL TEAM DIN A PROBOW TEEEEEEEEEEAM!" that will cause them to lose, and begin the downward spiral of nothingness.

go niners!!

But you're missing the best part.....

Well, it's official: Antonio Gates finally passed Tony Gonzalez as the best tight end in the league, thanks to his quotes in Sports Illustrated about his surprisingly easy transition from basketball to football. Let's have Antonio explain:

"You know what helped? Playing Madden. I was always the Chargers. After I got here, I'd play the game and notice things about the defenses. I started recognizing formations in the (video) game, then I'd get to practice and see them there."

(Go get 'em Antonio! You're paving the way for my buddy Gus to become the new Broncos offensive coordinator!)

Gates is my new favorite non-Raven.

If you're secure in that fact, as I am...you won't feel the need to bring up a rival product. :lol

That said, Gates rocks.

I didn't know he was allowed to leave in the middle of the season like this. Can't say he's a bad choice though.

edit:
If Weis is hired by Notre Dame, it is unclear when he would leave the Patriots. New England coach Bill Belichick said Friday he expects Weis to stay with the team through the season.

Time for a Giants upset! :D

Eli Manning 8 TD passes, Tiki Barber rushing for 300 yards and 4 TDs. Final score 84 - 17. :D

Steelers are done next week. Crushed by Big Blue. :D

:lol Thanks for the laugh.

Tell your boy Eli to pay attention and take notes next week so he can see how a real qb gets it done in the NFL. :D

Wow what a nice way to start the game... Hartwell knocked the ball out and recovered it... now we HAVE to turn this in to 6.

EDIT: Boller better learn how to do the QB slide...quick and in a hurry.

Did Jamal lose the ball? Grrrrr Saved.. no let's see what the instant replay says.... hmmm close.. real close. We might have got a gift there...

Clarence Moore with the jump catch over the defender... nice.

Why the hell is this game on tv? The Ravens and Giants? Meh, I guess it's not as bad as that Fins-Niners nightmare from a couple weeks ago. But certainly there's a better game on. :( God, hurry up Peach Bowl, I'm stuck with B-grade NFL games and meaningless early-season college hoops games. :( Serenity now. PEACE.

Ravens got bailed out on that fumble. He wasn't even close to being down when the ball started to come out. Only way that was not a fumble is if they ruled his forward progress had been stopped.

Time to see what Eli can do, going from the last 2 weeks he won't do very much against this D.

I'm confused. Why is Jim Fassel on the sidelines for this game again? I coulda swore he was just talking to the Ravens on the bench. PEACE.

Wow Tiki coughs the ball up... I remember early in the season they did a feature on how ball safe he was in holding the ball differently this year.

Fuck! Bengals took the ball some 70 yards into the New England 10 and then fumble it. :(

Cmon Bengals, you can do it!

This Ravens-Giants game is so quiet.

Well to be fair it's the first fumble he has lost all year. Ask any RB in the NFL if they would like to go into week 14 with no lost fumbles and you'd get a lot of emphatic yeses.

Uh hello? That's my point he's been the most ball safe RB this season because of how tight he carries it up in his chest.
