Mr. Tiki Barber.

After four games this season:

73 carries, 455 yards, a 6.2 yards per carry average, 0 fumbles, and 3 TDs... The league's second place rusher. Best in the NFC. I ask you, true believers, why even let Warner pass?

Oh, and on top of that, 14 catches, 164 yards, 11.7 yards per reception.

Early candidate for MVP? Yeah... Yeah I really think so.

Tiki is doing great, wonder if he can hold up for an entire season but right now he's at least the biggest surprise this season.

I always wondered what would happen if Tiki could hold onto the ball. Ahman Green might give him a run for his money if he goes to the Tom Coughlin school of football as well.

Heh. All it took was a crappy 1-3 start, and nearly all the annoying identical Redskins avatars have disappeared. People were pretty quick to hop off that bandwagon...

I'm still hangin'! It'll take a lot more than two games blown on clock management. The Redskins could easily be 3-1. The Giants are the only team to beat them decisively. Jumping off the bandwagon now is like agreeing with all those Kansas City naysayers.

Here's hoping they follow Kansas City's lead and Brunell rushes for 100 yards against the defense. I hope Deion starts so Rod Gardner can burn him a few times. That'd be nice.

And a game where Gibbs and Brunell don't blow all their timeouts in the third quarter would be nice. Really.

Well at least DC is getting a new bas---wait it's not even new. and they suck. :p

As long as there's only one person with the same avatar, it's fine. When it was like 8 different fuckers all with the same picture, that was annoying. I have no ill will towards Washington, but that made me want them to lose =)

They are new. They're not the Expos. They're not anything at the moment, but they will be! With their powerhouse outfield of Sledge, Rivera and Chavez!

FEAR THE WASHINGTON MONUMENTS!

... Gibbs actually said the announcement of the baseball team has taken the heat off him and the Redskins. Everyone around here are still pretty content, but I think another loss and everyone will start asking for Spurrier to come back.

Since quite a few of us have Sunday Ticket, I'd like to hear your thoughts on what your prime matchups look to be for next week. Of course you can flip back and forth, but you've got to start somewhere.

At 1

Detroit and Atlanta looks to be a good matchup. The Lions started off really strong, and only lost to the 4-0 Eagles. The Falcons, well they're undefeated.

Vikings and Houston should be interesting. Too potentially explosive passing offenses.

Those are the only two matchups that really stand out for me in the early game.

At 4

St Louis and Seattle for sure. Both of these teams have great offenses, and the Hawks are off to a fantastic start.

LOL

Atlanta barely beat the 49ers 21-19, and barely beat Arizona 6-3. They beat the Panthers and Rams easily... But they still don't have a win off a single team with a winning record. Atlanta is the luckiest team in the league schedule wise. After this week the Falcons play the Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos, Bucs, Giants, Saints, Bucs, Raiders, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks. Holy shit, minus the Chiefs (duh), Broncos, Giants, and the Seahawks, their schedule is rediculously easy. I wouldn't be suprised if the Falcons go 12-4, despite Vick, Price, and co. sucking balls. Crumpler is the only one doing shit on offense right now. Dunn has his days.

I am lookin to watch the detroit Atlanta/ minny houston/NY-Dallas Game at one

than seattle/rams and Carolina/Denver at 4 should be good games....

Oh, and on top of that, 14 catches, 164 yards, 11.7 yards per reception.

Thank warner for that, he is excellent at finding the backs. He has such great touch on the ball, ask marshall faulk. He hasn't been the same kind of threat since Warner left.

Anyway, I think we have a great shot at beating seattle on their turf. We dominated them in their house for 3 1/2 quarters last year. We lost a 14 point 4th quarter lead in that one. This year, our offense is playing better and better with each game. And Bulger is not turning the ball over.

Bulger: 96 of 139, 1101 yards(3rd in NFL), 4 TD, 2 INT, 96.2 QB rating(6th in NFL).
Isaac Bruce is first in the NFL in recieving yards, and he and Holt are the best 1-2 combo in the entire NFL. Marshall faulk and steven jackson are averaging 5 ypc.

Hasselbeck has been less productive than Bulger, and shaun alexander is averaging 3.6 ypc. Not to mention their WR's still have the dropsies.

The rams offense is converting over 40% of their 3rd downs, ranking 11th in the NFL. The seahawks are nearly dead last on 3rd downs, converting a measly 26%

On the flip side, the seahawks D has allowed only 13 points in 3 games. But consider they've played NO, TB, and SF. 2 horrible offenses and one average offense. But still, they have played considerably better than our defense.

The rams are 6.5 point dogs in seattle, but I guarantee it will be a close game. As long as we take care of the ball, we can get a W.

You do know the Chiefs suck, right? I mean, someone has told you, haven't they?

I personally think the Falcons will go 14-2, with losses to only the Giants and Seahawks in the final weeks of the season. That would kind of suck, but they're the only teams I'm worried about. And yeah, we sure as hell won out on the schedule lottery this year. Ride it for all it's worth, dirty birds!

uhhhh, what? i haven't changed avatars once, just posting less frequently. being banned helps a lot in that department. teddman and alex anderson still have the same avatars, too.

anyway, paradox, so you're coming down to san antonio?? give me a heads up and i'll sneak some real food in for 'ya. you'll be considered a god...

all the niners have to do is finish better than the redskins and halfpastnoon owes me 40 bones! that means we'll have to win 4 games :D

in other positive related 49ers news, the following players will miss significant time for us:

andre carter - back surgery (has missed the last 3 weeks, will miss another 4-6 weeks)
mike rumph - out 8-12 weeks with broken arm
derek smith (starting LB, led our team in tackles the last few years, awesome run stopper) - out at least a month with "undisclosed" lower-leg problem (was walking with crutches after the rams game)

oh wait, did i say positive? i meant we're at the point where things could not possibly get any worse. i wish that fucking pig York would sell the team to the Steve Young/Brent Jones group that wants to buy the 49ers.

funny (short) story regarding that: steve young and brent jones (both former 49ers, and both class acts) got a group together and pooled enough money together to make a serious offer to York because they wanted to buy the 49ers. His response? "No, I want to pass the team onto my son when he gets older". fuck his son

Well, from my experience, Lonestar doesn't like to pay up.

But FMT, my Texans (9-7) will make you owe me 20 bucks. :p

You = owned.

dont worry, texans are going on a long losing streak. something to the tune of 12 games :D

while the niners are about to go on a 15 game winning streak all the way to the superbowl ladies!

p.s. i cant believe its already 1994, thank you jesus

I'll be watching the following games on Sunday thanks to NFL Sunday Ticket.

Cleveland at Pittsburgh, 1:00 pm - in conference
Detroit at Atlanta, 1:00 pm - want to see how Vick does
Miami at New England, 1:00 pm - NE should coast to an easy victory
N.Y. Giants at Dallas, 1:00 pm - want to see if the Giants can continue to role.
Oakland at Indianapolis, 1:00 pm - Peyton, Peyton, Peyton!

Baltimore at Washington, 8:30 pm

Come on Ravens bounce back... you guys had chances in the end to win that game last night... <sigh> very disappointed.

Hey, it's not our fault the majority of the AFC and NFC West teams are doo-doo. The Chiefs should be an easy game to for us too by the way. I mean hell you guys are 1-3, and haven't shown yourselves to be a threat to us yet. I like Priest Holmes, but if our defense contiunes playing like it has been, he won't see 100 yards on us.

Vick is having a subpar season...he will fall into a groove around week 6. He better. Price needs to get involved, Dunn is doing good so far this season 16th in the leauge in rushing and has 5 TDs.

Haha, Vick is not a good passing QB. He is average at best. If they try to make him a passing QB he will suck, he is a bad fit for the westcoast offense IMO. They just need to let him run around and do his thing.

The thing is, he has the tools...i agree he can't be restrained...he needs to feel free and then and only then will his passing open up. It's like basketball, you shoot to open up the drive and vice versa....

Do you think we are going to see more trick plays this season. I mean we saw some with Dallas last week, Arizona and KC this week. It seems like trickery is getting to become more the norm. Or is it just a fluke.

Oh no doubt he is a average passing QB but, his raw speed and agility make him hard to read. I think being a hard to read QB (that knows how to eat up clock time with 50 yard runs) is just as good as being a good passing QB when it makes wins.

Michael Vick will eventually turn into a good QB over time. I don't get all the hype. I think McNabb was a better QB overall in this stage of his career, from passing to scrambling. He was just so much more consistent.

Malleymal

You now belong to FMT.
I see a little problem with Vick coming to play the chiefs, he will scramble and make our D go crazy, and Warrick dunn is a little back like Griffith and those hard to see backs are tough to bring down ... I am not worried about the Atlanta D at all.... KC can score at will, and Atlanta will not hold then to under 20 points... the falcons cant score over 17 , so I see the chiefs pulling that one out... but this isnt week 7 discussion its week 5... so

You are right this should be about week5, but I just want to point out that we have our scored over 17 in all our games except 1 so far.

Raoul Duke said:

We could easily be 3-1 right now. Easily. Carolina and Houston were very hard loses, which both came down to one big play. Panthers and Texans were lucky enough to be the ones to get it. Our defense played good last night. I thought J. Lew was going to break tackles from God himself, due to comments on GA. I was disappointed in our special teams, but what ya going to do. Hopefully our D can stay a little more consistent. I have trust in you Gunther! Falcons can't put enough points on the board to hang with us.

I'll give them a 12-4 record, only because they have an amazingly easy schedule. Vick looks horrible. Why the hell did they give Price all of that money? Dunn has his days. Crumpler seems to be their only serious threat right now. Good defense, but not good enough to stop KC.
