"The news came from somebody senior at Nintendo who, admittedly, probably shouldn't have let it slip before E3.

"So, will Zelda TP have Revolution controller support or not?"
"Yeeeeeeeeeeees . . . maybe it does and maybe it doesn't!!"
* plays mysterious tune *
"So will it?"
"Let me answer it through the medium of daaaaance!!"
* plays jolly tune, two midgets come out and dance *

Its ridiculous really. Remember Halo 2? They had weekly updates and screens at a fairly constant rate. With Zelda: TP, we get next to nothing.

They don't know how to market at all, or even stir up interest in their products. So, other people are forced to take the torch and run with it. That's how rumors start with Nintendo. Disgruntled fans who want to give Nintendo some sort of momentum.
Way to delay a game, and then release a few pics. That's it. No new news on it, no previews, no nothing. Everyone else releases information on a steady basis. Releasing an updating trailer showing off some of the improvements wouldn't hurt Nintendo at all.

SantaCruZer said:That's really lame Nintendo. So you expect us to wait to E3 AGAIN for some Zelda news at all? I am a little pissed off if that is true.

I still worship the ground Super Play walked on. No magazine will ever come close to the legacy they left behind. For one, the whole concept of anime coverage in videogame magazines came from them (and for wholly validated reasons), they championed the RPG genre for western gamers and had excellent coverage of Japanese only SNES releases (Sanrio Smashball was a highlight for me). I felt privy to the wider world of Nintendo that the US magazines lacked.
Jonathan Davies... best videogame writer ever.
Wil Overton, the artist who painted their unique front covers went on to do art design at Rareware and it was sad to see his cool anime Joanna Dark designs scrapped for the eventual plastic doll that came out.
So as for this Zelda news, it is cool to see a publication go against the grain and not rely on official press releases and actually do some reporting.

He's not comparing the games, he's comparing the information flow from their publishers. I personally don't mind the relatively rare updates we recieve from Nintendo, it leaves more to discover when the game releases. In retrospect, I watched way too much Shadow of the Colossus media before it came out.Hero said:Are you going to compare a first person shooter to Zelda? Most of the weekly updates were crap anyway. The only good info from them was multiplayer stuff, which, as of now, Zelda doesn't have.

I just got the latest issue of Edge where they also confirm that TP is going to use the revmote in some form.
SantaCruZer said:and their source was?
