Weiss being physical? What is this real life?
Also, I love the NHL.com writers that put Fleury as MVP. Would love to see him do that. Maybe then he'll get the respect he deserves.
Pens only bring their A-game against teams that actually match their level of talent this season.
Non-homer me says it's going to be a rough series, but optimistic me says the Pens take this in 5, tops.
No, but almost doesn't mean your rational of you beating us in the season series holds much weight. Playoffs are a different beast.
Showing me where you're going to be posting in a few days?
I'm done, feels good man

Saved for Van-LaK

I'd get rid of him for the rest of the playoffs, at least.
Can't imagine Mario Lemieux would want to continue to be a part of a league that allows this... Oh, wait. Never mind.
so 1 game?
sorry pens age, i couldnt resist
Was Couturier OK after the hit from Neil?
He came back shortly after so I'd think so.
Good call for the elbow against Alfie, 3 games is good. I expect Asham to get at least 5, anything else is ridiculous.
Was Couturier OK after the hit from Neal?
He came back like a shift later, so did Schenn
AFTER WE JUMPED ON YOUR BANDWAGON
The shit pulled this game got to the point where I would fully understand if the Flyers lost respect for the Pens' well being next game. Why try and not injure the other guys when the refs are gonna protect their guys from injury but not ours.
Flyers history doesn't give us a lot of hope that they're both ACTUALLY alright. Again I'm not a believer in suspensions based on injuries. I expect Neal and Asham to get one game a piece. My guess is the league will think it looks like it is getting egg on its face for just suspending pens so Simmonds or Timmo will get one too. Either of those would be complete bullshit. Asham for one would be plenty for me. What gets me REALLY angry is the how the refs fucking refused to protect players. Suspensions are never gonna change player actions but refs have the direct ability to prevent injuries and they fucked up big today.
Because it's despicable, unprofessional and would place the Flyers alone in a realm of loathing that will be unmatched for some time.
2 minute 5 on 3 is a thing of beauty <3 Let's open up the 2nd with a quick score as well, but the boot down on those fucker's necks.
He doesn't want the weight of the other 17 bandwagons you're on to weigh his down
5 on 3 YYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSS!
O cuz the Pens didn't reach that point today....? Give me a fucking break. The Flyers didn't have ONE hit that rivaled Asham or Neal today. They played controlled considering the circumstances and they're the ones who are going to suffer for it. Complete bullshit.
EDIT: And again, the way the refs protected Pens players and risked Flyer safety just pissed me off. The Schenn penalty is such a fucking amazing example it's unreal.
AFTER WE JUMPED ON YOUR BANDWAGON
You are crazy to say Asham should get only one game.
Grossman had a really dirty knee-on-knee.O cuz the Pens didn't reach that point today....? Give me a fucking break. The Flyers didn't have ONE hit that rivaled Asham or Neal today. They played controlled considering the circumstances and they're the ones who are going to suffer for it. Complete bullshit.
Grossman had a really dirty knee-on-knee.
Grossman had a really dirty knee-on-knee.
A lot of people seem to forget it.
So did one of the Pens players. Unfortunately I didn't catch the names. I agree that Grossman's hit was bad, but nowhere near the level of disgusting we're talking about.
I don't give a shit about suspensions. What matters is how the refs protect players. They have an actual effect on the game.
If I punch you in the face and then an hour later someone comes up and stabs you my guess is tomorrow you won't be talking about me.
Bullshit, a stupid player is a stupid player, no ref could have prevented Asham from giving that shit to the face.
Crazy
Cooke on Jagr? That was glancing, no where near as bad. But yes Asham was out of his mind today.
3 games seems awfully harsh for a guy with no history, especially considering some of the other shit in these playoffs that is apparently A-OK according to the NHL. Hard to argue, though. Hit a guy in the head and knock him out, pay the price.
Hopefully the league is going to be similarly and consistently harsh from here on out to try and rein in the dirty play.
Need to set the tone of the 2nd. I'll take it.Hate when it comes at the end of a period.
