NHL December |OT| The Team You Cheer For is Not Good Compared To Our Team

Under absolutely no circumstances should we move Plekanec. Along with Price, Subban, and Patches, he's one of a very small group of "untouchable" players on the team that we would have to be retarded to let go of.

agreed

habs better not sign semin, he has alot of talent but doesn't try hard

Top UFAs 2012 :

Ryan Suter, Nashville Predators.

Zach Parise, NJ Devils.

Alexander Semin, Washington Capitals.

Niklas Kronwall, Detroit Red Wings

R.J. Umberger, Columbus Blue Jackets.

Ales Hemsky, Edmonton Oilers.

Brad Stuart, Detroit Red Wings.

Chris Kunitz, Pittsburgh Penguins.

Shane Doan, Phoenix Coyotes.

Mikhail Grabovski, Toronto Maple Leafs.

There's no dominating center there. In fact, there's nothing I want on my team there, apart from Parise, Suter and maybe Kunitz.

Kunitz signed a two year extension with the Pens earlier this year (thank god).

I heard tha Kadri is playing with Connolly and MacArthur and that Aulie might get into the lineup again. Not sure who's sitting.

If Kadri is playing with Connolly and MacArthur then we're going to get a realistic look at him. That's the sort of line he should be on, not with 3rd or 4th line scrubs.

And strike Suter off that list because he's going to the Capitals.

/Sef

HF says the Preds have been scouting JVR and Read. Homer loves Nashville. Nashville loves Homer. Flyers fans love Harts and Timmonen. I see no downsides here. If Weber (and I'm going to include Suter by association) ends up coming to the Flyers I will feel very smug dig up my earliest posts about the Flyers getting Weber.

With Pronger out and the Flyers having offense to spare, this isn't crazy.

The only issue I see with that line is all those players are play makers. Going to be some poor turnovers probably from trying to be too creative.

I could totally see that connection. I'm hoping more as an UFA for the Caps.

My dream is for them to get Weber. I would happily give up JVR and Read for him.

Looks like diving isn't the only skill they've stolen from soccer.

Note that he's playing his off wing as well ... It'll be interesting to see, but I really don't feel Kadri is strong enough for this league. The AHL is there to display skills and finesse, but the NHL is purely body to body.

There are plenty of finesse players in the NHL. He played very well at the end of last season, so I see no reason why he couldn't continue that this year, especially after dominating in the AHL.

You looking to go back to the minors kid?

Hope the Jets drain themselves and beat the Habs tonight, leaving them ripe for the picking against the Pens tomorrow.

Jets lost their last game to the Isles in a SO which means they'll be hungry. Habs though are very desperate.

I have a feeling that the Habs will need a 1st star performance by Price in order to win. I think they'll get it too.

Another 4 goals in the Habs' net tonight. Book it. Gotta use the Martin gif!

Buffalo and Toronto are both 3-5-2 in their last ten. Well, someone's gonna win tonight I guess. I'm going to miss the first half, so I'm hoping we'll be within 3 by the time I turn the TV on. :\

Not really. NHL players and AHL players aren't any different when it comes to fitness level and size. Its skill that separates the two leagues.

That's Daniel. And you'll never see him dive.

I understand you've been trying to shake the bandwagon image you were given. But not like this, man. :(

It's hard man, it really is :(

Getting "We are all CaDucks" tattooed on my tramp stamp area was a bad idea.

That and I'm majorly projecting my angst from knowing that another loss is gonna happen momentarily.

Same as the difference between GAF hockey thread and some minor league shit like HFBoards. Epik seems to be headed towards the latter.

I don't see the Cats winning tonight. Not with all of those injuries, and two AHL caliber lines skating tonight. I'll be happy with an OTL.

Explain. I'd be pissed with a loss but why would it be any more embarrassing than any other loss.

Just because the Sabres have been doing so poorly lately, and how fragile their players' mentalities are at the moment. The Leafs need to beat teams like this to be taken seriously as a playoff team.

Habs reel off six wins in a row starting tonight. Solo is rock hard by the New Year.

Tonight is the dawning of a new era: Cunneyball.

Not a chance. The Habs have some payback coming tonight for ruining our opening game.

Edit: I keep forgetting it's you, Solo. How long must you be burdened with that horribly-dressed avatar?
