Well, I probably wouldn't go if I hadn't interacted with some people on GAF beforehand, so I have hope I can at least talk to those if the rest ends up being just a group of awkward people.

We just split up casually this evening over the phone while I was having an afterwork beer with a mate.
So that won't be happening anymore.
I'm worried about how invincible and carefree I am right now though. Mainly because my primary source of happiness no longer stems from having a relationship? I'm not sure.
I mean, I guess the worst thing is I just spent $200 on xmas gifts for her birthday and $150 on Xmas gifts during a time when I needed money the most. Stupid stupid STUPID.

That's EXACTLY what I'm the most upset about. It's not the "hey she was hot, and a female version of you, and had humongous boobies and was chilled out/funny/accepting". It's... "Hey, you bought her a bunch of really cool presents that made her jump for joy and now you've got nothing to show for it".
Eugh, part of that sounds like such a "nice guy" thing (IE: investing "niceness" for a "reward"). But money is important in this dang-nammed capitalist society we live in.

There wasn't much I could do about it after that. I didn't even care about the money per-se. It was more the act itself that stung. "Oh thank you so much for putting all this time and effort and money into making Valentine's day so great now bye forever". Way to go.

They have busses here that are 90 bucks round trip that take 7 hours with free wifi. So its just a matter of hotel really, that and im having another child in april so my better half has to sign off, so it wouldnt be super costly. Id much prefer to actually go to the game but I suppose some of you are OK enough to drive uo and have a few beers with, how far is the pub from the game? Wonder if I could manage both.

So I just now checked thay thread, and ive noticed 2 things, 1) no tabris? 2) its in february, so that makes it somewhat questionable, I typically have to work saturdays so this might not work out, im getting a new boss this monday so ill have to see what I can do to get the day off.

I don't know because I only have last season and this season to judge by. Last season he was the fucking man, the pairing with Duchene was crazy. They were just great together. This year I just have not seen him at all, even when he was scoring it never seemed like he was really working for it. I don't know what his deal is.
No idea but it was a pretty awkward play, two wild players ran into eachother and Stastny got blindsided by it.
