Win or lose, Jets look so much better tonight without a scrub opponent like the oilers dragging them down.

Wooo jokinen lol. Number 300? Or Kane deflection?

This is a much more entertaining game. Good for Jokinen to get a goal. Now if he could get about 30 or 40 more this year, that'd be nice. Nice of the refs to let the play go on for over a minute while the net was dislodged.

Well, the 2013-2014 Carolina Hurricanes might have different uniforms and different names on many of the jerseys, but they play a lot like the 2012-2013, 2011-2012 and 2010-2011 versions of the Carolina Hurricanes. Play two promising periods, give up an early 3rd period goal and then a goal in the last minute of play, leading to choking it all away in OT.

Does someone have the stats for this? This team must be the worst in the NHL at holding one goal leads in the last minute or two of the game. And what really sucks is that in almost every case they will lose in either OT or the shootout.

Just ugh. What a cluster.

Real question is, what's your team's record when up by 3 with 10 minutes left?

Whew... Jets almost did the usual 3rd period collapse there again. Nice to get a more solid win as opposed to last game. Not happy with some things, but they did more right than wrong tonight.

Scheifele, Kane and Setoguchi is a solid line. Really like how this team is coming together.

But, Real Talk, big assist to the Wild for this win. For long stretches a clearly better Kings squad was a bit fatigued and looked like a team that went to a shootout in a back-to-back game the night before. Really, last nights game in Minneapolis was the best possible result for the Jets, down to the Kings winning. Thanks Wild!

Great point, that line looked great, especially Saskaguchi who is kinda forgotten among the new faces sometimes. And the third line with Frolik did good work again too. [extra edit: huh I always thought Setoguchi grew up in Saskabush but looking it up I see he actually played in and was born in Alberta. Damn, that's a great nickname shot to hell]
