Really happy to see the Islanders break the streak. I only started watching hockey last season and really seriously this year thanks to my Blues fan girlfriend and Colin from Kinda Funny's major love of the Islanders (he's crying right now.)

Living in STL and these two have pushed the Blues and Isles to my top 2 teams. While my Blues are choking... I'm glad someone has made it out alive!

You know, I'd really love to see some statistics on this. Like, once a team goes up, what have been the historic outcomes? For teams that don't win the series in 5, how often does it go to 7? How often do they lose? Etc.
