Nicki Minaj shatters VEVO record with 'Stupid Hoe' video

I can't see the appeal of Nicki Minaj at all but she's certainly... ....distinctive. That seems to count for a lot nowadays.

Looked like a witch-burning to me so I'm guessing it was genuine. If you're not having nightmares after the Minaj video, I doubt that pic will rock you.
 
I never cared for Nicki Minaj's rap style. Then again, I never cared for rap. She's always been a bit aggravating though, and her popularity bugs me. Yeah I'm one of those people.

This song is absolutely horrible. The video is too. But, put them together and honestly it's a pretty hilarious experience. There's no way that she's being serious with this, right? It's absolutely meant to be comical and to make people laugh because of how outlandish the video is and how terrible the music is.
 
What kills me is that Nicki is beefing with Lil Kim.

Kim has a few great albums under her belt, Nicki has yet to do anything that couldn't be classified as "ear-bleeding".

It's disgraceful.

doesn't matter anymore. Kim looks like a mutant now, and most of her lyrics were written by BIG anyway. Kim never reached a fraction of the success Nikki is currently enjoying. As much as it pains me to admit it, Nikki is by far the most successful and popular female pop-rapper ever. By FAR.

Sucks to fall off but damn, the future looks a little bleaker everyday.

Definitely looks like weird is back in at least, which I don't mind at all.

well at least we'll have the good memories. I, for one, would rather hear Get Money, Player's Anthem, Crush On You, or Drugs than any Nikki Minaj song. Regardless of who wrote the lyrics for Kim.

We'll see if any of Nikki's songs stand the test of time like those tracks have. Nikki is the flavor of the moment, but she's not dropping anything classic.
 
I never really understood the appeal of Minaj anyway. A lot of people enjoy Super Bass from what I can tell, and I can see the appeal of that song, but the rapping is just sort of annoying to me and no one else seems the feel the same way. I admit that I don't like rap but I've definitely heard better and I don't see how or why people eat this shit up.

Her style is just flat out unappealing to me. I will probably never "get it."
 
A good tune, not her very best, but good. She's better going ham like this than playing it safe like most of the album.
 
I like her. This song on the other hand is bad. She has some great ones though and is featured on some cool songs. I'm a fan, screw the haters!

This. wtf is this? I only watched it because there were tons of ads on youtube and I was somewhat interested after Superbass and such, but god this is awful.

She's not quite as good but the Missy analogy is apt: Someone who dares being odd, rude, annoying, surprising.. always preferable to the Bruno Mars and Adeles of the deadly boring Billboard chart at the moment.

You know, listening to Super Bass, Romans Revenge, Moment for Life, her verse on Monster, etc on my Pandora you can tell she has some talent as a rapper.

This song is shit, the beat is lazy, the hook is annoying, the video is Hype collecting a check. Just bad music all around, and I don't see it really sticking as a radio or club hit.

I'm hoping for a really good remix that kinda blasts over the hook & beat. That was so awful.
