NieR: Automata |OT| "I wouldn't expect too much from this game if I were you."

How... are you supposed to know what that is? She stops mid swing and like, goes to a neutral stance. It's really weird.
I knew because there are chips that increase the effectiveness of it, also the game tells you what the button does the moment you start playing as A2. Well it tells you Hold X/Square to taunt, doesnt actually tell you the effect of doing that, but the enemies will react and go enraged. I love Taunting and doing a perfect dodge right at the end of the animation. So stylish, though so far I really prefer playing 2B. Charge light attacks are some of my favorite moves, especially with small swords and gauntlets

level 50
father servo
is going to take me 350 hours to kill ;_;

guess ill have to save that for later :(

...There's two different combos for every weapon as 2B, tapping and holding. Like, entirely different. Why would I think otherwise?

To be fair, for
A2
, only the square one is changed to give you the new Taunt feature, and the holding combos for 2B were never too long anyway.

Yes. That sidequest is intended to be endgame stuff anyway.

was I not supposed to get this far then? lol :(

the previous fight did already take me ages ;_; good to know then, off to do other stuff.

lv 50
father servo
is beatable by 2b at level 20-something

bring loads and loads of defense boost items, healing items and bucketloads of patience

well I did say it was going to take me 350 hours, his health did go down. CBA tho, have actual fun things to do in the game, and Im not the "let me prove how big my epeen is by doing this impossible thing" type.

just checked my quests completed, which ive done A LOT (ive been basiclly doing sidequests for the last 4 or 5 hours)... 28% completion ;_;

why u so big Nier Automata :(

I couldn't get further than
black belt as 2B, but I also refused to use items on the sidequest. You can easily beat the rest of the quest first try in a couple minutes as 9S.

Is there a place in C to level up quickly? It feels like I kinda cheaped the game out as
9S
and am now super underleveled. I -barely- beat
the centipede

oh btw speaking of
9S
, I continue to be curious how
Route B will change stuff, as not only is 9S with you constantly, but most of the sidequests and shit, HE'S the one doing all the talking already.
Keep in mind, im not doubting you guys when you say its different enough, I just cant wrap my head round how is all :)

lol yeah, it's not fun at all, and sane people should absolutely avoid it

i'm not doing it for e-peen, it's my gaming ocd kicking in

I really apreciate how the story is unfolding with
normal machines showing human emotions and whatnot, its cliche but its SUPER well done so far
.

I dont get people shitting on
2B, her stoic nature is needed for this type of story and for contrast with 9S.

I like the
"nice" machines so much that I actually avoid attacking any machine that isnt hostile because I feel bad about it
, so I guess they have suceeded.

Ive been mostly doing side stuff tho, main story wise, I have to go to
the forest area
next but havent yet.

Not really spoilers, but I tagged it just in case.

The segments are the same, the perspective is different for some of them, but it's different enough to not feel like a drag at all. The biggest factor for me was that you don't have to redo sidequests you've already completed, and there aren't too many new ones, making it much quicker to complete than route A.

Yo, shit hits the fan pretty quick on route C.

Absolutely loved the visual artifacts when
you're rescuing 2B and the other battle units from a bunch of machines early on.

Lmao, worth it indeed. You also get to see a tower off in the distance now at least.

Also he now sells you materials that can be used to upgrade your weapons to Lv4.

yeah but i have to beat all the sidequests that show up
on 2b's route with 2b

i just have to T_T

So after buying it today and playing it for 6 hours (oh send help plis) straight, are all the quests bound by the main story?

Seem to be red things everywhere and I have no idea where to even begin!

Red dots can either be save/travel points or quests.

Some quests are bound to specific routes, others can be completed regardless of route, though any uncompleted quests reset between routes.

You get locked out of sidequests a couple chapters after you unlock fast travel.

lol at the "Stamps" sub-quest
cs with Juliet murdering all the Romeo. That was DRAKENGARD as fuck.

Anyone having problems with the "Yohvra
betrayers
" sub-quest?
I can't seem to get them to appear.

I wish they put a level warning for high-level side-quests, they are some that feel like more end/mid game content.

There are three different spots where they can appear, you need to make sure you check them all. For me they showed up back near the factory entrance and up on top of the building where you first enter the city ruins.

That was the quest that made me realize it was time to move forward with the story in my first playthrough. Level 17 at the time had no chance
