Yoko Taro: I guess that is fake picture. Maybe.
Hah.

Correct, only 9S gets to spear throw.
Oh huh, you're right. Checked and not even equipped to heavy attack allows for the throw. Sucks :/
Ending E goddammit. Miss two checkpoints and you reset to the beginning Is it just me or does doing so also increase theSeemed easier the first time.number of bullets from the larger text?
Edit: seriously, can't even get past the first two now wtf. Was like 75% through the first run.
Alexandra: You've also said that you are interested in pushing into grey areas and exploring taboos. Were there particular taboos that you were you trying to explore with Nier: Automata?
Yoko: There are quite a few if I were to go into minute details, but the greatest one is probably the fact that online connectivity is practically necessary at the final stage.
done with route A,
that credit song, first ever game credits i didn't skip.
started route B got a route G ending. lol
the constant hacking andis gonna make this tedious. urgh.. but i really like his character so i'll stick at it.9s only having light attacks
is the only way to defeat the gold machines by hacking only? really?

Did you spare him?
Also I was shook when it was later brought to my attention that that was the seemingly dead robot at the beginning of Route B.
You *can* beat it offline, but you're really not meant to and the odds are stacked against you to a ridiculously unfair degree. (At least PS+ isn't required for any of this game's online features.)
So I started yesterday...how many fast travel stations are there? I was in the middle of the desert had no more quests and had to make my way back to the resistance camp to get back to bunker to get a new quest and it took 20 minutes! Currently I only have Bunker and Camp but I just beat theOpera? boss in the amusement park and now am in machine village
They're all over the place, you should be finding them pretty easily. Have you unlocked the ability to use them yet though? I don't remember if its before or after the Amusement Park...
Okay nope you haven't yet, relatively soon you'll unlock the ability to transport to any of themYea (I think) but I have only found one at resistence camp that i can actually teleport to. All the other vending machines just let me save. I am guessing the ones you can travel to are special ones?

I'm loving the game more and more the deeper in I get, but I'm not sure I've picked the best time irl for me to be playing something like this, lol.
Just beat the game any good video explaining everything in detail? I'm sort of lost lol but I kinda get the gist of it (I think)
This combo video has some tips for playing 9S. (It's like an hour long, but the important basics for each weapon type and SD cancelling is covered in the first 15 mins or so.) Despite only wielding one weapon at a time, 9S has quite a few interesting melee options and is surprisingly technical.
Of course, you can also just charge his spear throwing attack and kill everything. Still repetitive, but at least the ridiculous damage output is entertaining.
I'm dying. This man is killing me.
Route C. Got the. This has a pretty fantastic dub, both the translation and the voice acting.Ocean Access Key
Edit: [Route C]And... yeah. You know where this is headed.Just got control of Pascal out of nowhere.
Edit 2:
Any reason to do the side quests? I was bummed after wasting hours upon hours doing the monotonous side quests in the original game only to find out there was literally zero reason to be doing them.
I'd rather just enjoy the weird story, so are the side quests similarly just useless padding in this game? So far, a lot of them seem like fetch quests. I'll do the good fun ones, like the martial arts sparring on top of that one building, and the missing little sister in the desert, but I'm not planning on traipsing all about the world searching for missing materials and bullshit.
ripEdit 2:
Check out the village sometime.
At the [C]. I'm really glad I caught myself up on Nier before getting too far into this.library
At what I can only imagine is the end of route C,. The whole sequence leading up to this is one of the most exhilarating things I've played in a while."Please make your choice." Currently waffling on it
A2 was actually my favorite character believe it or not..
Are there any downsides to playing this on easy?
I just started this game for the first time, spent 30 mins progressing and died... no save points and have to start at the very beginning? I don't have time for this shit, lol
Another edit: I think a hidden trophy bugged out for me?
finished route c,d,e
first.second. i saw the ending from the start of route c already but i still have questions, is there a thread where everything has been discussed to death about thefuck that square enix credit text.3rd. frankly i'm very okay with route c not d ending,'machines' behind it all? or at hat page is it?but route e trumps all so its good.i dont like the idea of one surviving
game is a solid 9 for me or 9.5.
good story

If Yoko Taro hasn't already, he can finally play Undertale lol
He's already tweeted about how now he can finally play it.
Edit 2:
I just started playthrough C and am massively under-leveled and have been playing on easy to see the story and am now getting absolutely destroyed by everything and hating it.
Also the story stuff still hasn't really done much for me, I keep playing waiting for more crazy stuff to happen like the fun first few hours of the game.
