Honestly, I'm not sure how easily you can follow-up Automata... It pretty much completes the lore and he doesn't have all the leftover planning from the original Nier to build from this time around.

Everything he's done since has been pretty side-story focussed because the time-loop was kinda closed off in the comics and I'm not sure whether he'd want to repeat or ret-con that into a game,
