Wonder if this was the announcement they teased before or if there's still a chance for some Quake.
Yeah, I'm curious of it as well. There was some rumblings of Quake 3 and Doom 64 (SteamDB edits and ESRB rating for new platforms it didn't launched). I'm glad the other thing isn't a case as it already has a remaster. I was also crossing my fingers for them to finally put Wolfenstein 2009 back on Steam again but it was always a long shot lol

Looks amazing on the Steam Deck OLED. Highly recommended.

So much content. All in a simple, easy to use package with full controller support. Gods aren't treated as well as we are.

Thank you Nightdive.

Thank you id.

Thank you Xbox.

Thank you Phil.

I wonder why is there a lock at 120fps. Modern DOOM engine ports can run these games at whatever refresh rate your monitor is, such as 240fps in my case.

Oh hell yeah. Guess it'd be silly to wait for a Switch 2 patch, since the difference probably won't be huge, but, man, I wish Nintendo had sent out more devkits. Night Dive has been a great supporter of the Switch 1 too. They at least deserved preferential treatment. Still, this is a wonderful surprise.

What is the downside of the Switch port? Lower resolution?

first thing that came to my mind
I think they have not bothered because these OSTs are 15 tracks, and it seems that on PC, the game has more tracks. So they would have to fill the blanks. Repeating other tracks would be fine by me, but they most certainly won't do this :(

Man i have been waiting for Nightdive to do these games for years. Havent played Hexen since the N64!, and i loved it.
I only play PC games with controller so Nightdive really are a godsend with their remasters. I knew they would do these games at some point.

I swear Nightdive must quickly becoming every gamers second fave developer. Especially if you're an older gamer.

Curious about that soundtrack by Andrew Hulshult. Aside from that meh, it's nothing I already didn't have with GZDoom.

Hey what's up with the templar blocking attacks with the shield? Don't remember that being a feature in the original game.

Hopefully it has gyro support on Switch. I'm sure it will since they've put it in all the games I've bought from them in the past. But I'll wait for confirmation before I buy.

Yeah, I think it's a bigger thing for consoles honestly. But still, I love that they do the whole, "if you already own it, you have it for free" thing. Andrew rules though, I love that he's getting more and more work these days.

I'll probably end up hopping into multiplayer today or tomorrow.

LRG will release the game physically, no date or price so far.

What a surprise. And even new episodes? Hell, it's awesome how classic FPS like Doom, Quake and Heretic receive new official content so many years after their original releases. And free for owners of their previous versions. Good news!
