I have to say, this cd REALLY grew on me in the months since it's release and is now my top CD of 2005, which is odd. I originally thought it was somewhere in the middle. Some songs were pretty good, some were ok, some were eh. Now, it somehow became one of my favorite NIN albums ever. As a big NIN fan, I think most of the hate this album has recieved was primarily because of its untraditional NIN sound. Once you can let that go, you'll find yourself listening to it over and over again (You'll also find it sounds much more like NIN then you first gave it credit for). At least, that's how it hit me. There's just a ton of diversity and creativity though out, from the song arrangments to the excellent use of electronic sounds and styles. Out of all 13 songs on the cd there is only one I didn't quite get into. Mainly because the style reminded me of "The Hives" or one of those types of bands for some reason. Anyway, I know I can't be the only one loving this. How are the rest of you NIN fans recieving it? For everyone else who wants to give it a chance, I'll list recommended songs on the disk to check out (aka: my favorties):
01. All the love in the World
02. You know who you are?
03. The Collector
04. The hand that feeds
06. Everyday is exactly the same
08: Only
11. The line begins to Blur
12. Beside you in time
13. Right where it belongs <--- Amazing. lyrically, musically... everything. This is this albums "Hurt" imo.
