im still waiting for final fantasy 1-6. Why give us those game boy games? I will pick up Puyo Puyo Tetris, but on Xbox or PS4.

Paper Mario and Animal Crossing are both 2020 games and they seem to have been relatively popular.

Re this direct, the football game and the boxing game might be worth a look - I'll await reviews. The rest is not for me and that's ok - it doesn't all have to be for me.

It really does - I've spent FAR too much money on Switch games since getting the thing a few months ago. An astonishing hit rate of excellent games so no complaints there but still, my wallet is happy for a break.
 
These partner directs are probably the right move to give more attention to Nintendo's third parties since their first party titles get all of the coverage and dominate the conversation online. We will definitely see a larger direct soon.
 
Im so glad I have a switch, pc and ps4, nintendo games are god tier but I just can't imagine being a nintendo only gamer it must be suffering.

Not to promise anything... but there might be some hope. A buddy at Blizzard just posted

"It would be super to see my friend Mario. Like in 3-D. That would make him an all star. If I saw him this week. At Gamescom."

That reads to me like someone just gave them a heads up on an announcement. Or he is just wishful maybe.


Edit: Seems this a is a widespread rumor. So they may just be regurgitating that same rumor.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 alone is probably worth more than Sony and MS's combined offering for the whole of 2020, but I guess I'll feign disappointment to blend in.

(also the KH rhythm game is probably going to be more worth its money than everything with the KH name attached to it that came out last decade)
 
I really don't need much; just a little transparency. Interview some designer on BOTW 2 and show a screenshot or something. ANYTHING and I'd be happy. 12FPS soccer games aren't even worth announcing in a "direct."
 
So I decided to take a look at my list of games I want to buy for the Switch, if they ever release a competent one that doesn't scratch it itself or have drifting analog sticks, etc., and I just realized of the 42 games on the list only 4 of them are actually from Nintendo. Furthermore, none of them are actually developed internally. I never would have seen this coming in a million years.
 
After watching I think Nintendo is trolling. Hopefully they show a regular direct tomorrow or something and be like super Mario 3D world available later today.
 
When I saw that it was a partner showcase I thought "heeey, maybe some SMT V gameplay"?

I need to stop hurting myself like that.

Edit: dunno why I wrote "we did it", had a brain fart. Meant to say "we're gonna do it".
