Nintendo 3DS Japanese Launch Thread

Okay, so for those of you who already own one, did someone alraedy try the Dsiware to 3DS transfer ?

I'm really curious about how it works :o
 
I am very saddened at the stylus positioning :( . It was perfect on the DSi/DS Lite (for right-handers), now it's it's in the same spot as the DS Phat :\
 
I've only owned a gameboy color and borrowed my sister's DS Lite that's now broken. Never been munch of a hand held gamer.

I guess I need to buy...

3DS(DS, DSi)
Lite(GBA)
SP(GBA, GB, GBC)


Is the DSi xl worth it for the bigger screen?

Dude.

Just wait for a month and get the 3DS. If you really want to play the old games then get an SP as well.

3DS+SP is the obvious combo.

But... will DS and DSi games be better on the DSi XL than the 3DS?
Similarly, wouldn't GBA games be better on the DS Lite?

It can go up to 3 rows of icons.
For some reason I want to see video of someone setting up wifi lol.

Edit: Watching the live stream and the 3DS looks green and the circle pad looks orange. Is it the lighting or the camera that's making this happen?
 
Damn, next month is going to be torture!! So glad i changed my preorder to aqua blue!!! By the way, does 3ds support WPA2?

Does anyone know how the 3DS stores the 3D pictures it takes?

Can you store them on the SD card?

Can you view said pictures on the computer from the SD Card?

Just something I've been curious about

1.On the SD card
2.Yes
3.Most likely but to see the 3D ones you might need a 3D graphics card or something IDK how 3D on computers work really :p but you can view the 3DS pictures on any 3Ds devise that supports the MPO. format.

Thanks! I didn't know that MPO was the format for 3D pictures

It would be pretty neat if one could convert them to cross eyed pics.

I can take 3D pictures with My Sony A55 SLT camera, it'd be cool if I could see them on 3DS, maybeafter a simple file conversion?

Someone needs to do a battery test with the best possible conditions (one for DS, one for DSi and one for 3DS games)

Lowest brightness, WiFi off, sound off, power save mode on. Test with different 3DS games as well to see if some games drain more than others (I would imagine that Street Fighter drains the battery moreso than Puzzle Bobble!)

DSi games should also drain the battery moreso than DS games since the processor is clocked at double the speed. It would be interesting to see how much more Pokemon B&W drains the battery than Pokemon HG/SS does for instance!
 
Will all 3DS models have a black 3D screen area for contrast? I kinda like solid colours better. Oh well.

Maybe the 3DS Lite will use a superior screen technology and solve that problem.
