We've already had the Symphony of the Goddesses tour, of course, which has travelled around the world and taken in multiple runs in North America, in particular. Nintendo UK has now announced an all-new performance that's coming to the UK, however, which will be branded as "Symphonic Legends" and be performed by the highly-regarded London Symphony Orchestra and London Symphony Chorus. Below are some of the details from Nintendo's press release.
Featuring music performed courtesy of Nintendo, Symphonic Legends London takes concertgoers on an unforgettable journey through some of The Legend of Zeldas best-loved themes. With new and revised scores by renowned video game arrangers, Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo, Symphonic Legends London squeezes every last musical drop of action, adventure, romance, heartbreak and heroics from soundtracks to games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The concert also features the world premiere of a brand new Overture of music from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, sending listeners imagination soaring to the skies and beyond.
...Symphonic Legends London is being developed by the award winning Merregnon Studios, the worlds leading video game concert production company. With over 10 years of experience in the genre, Merregnon Studios helped debut the first ever orchestral performance of music from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in Germany in 2003, as well as being the first company ever to work with the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra on a video game concert.
This is a one-off performance at Londons Barbican on July 13th, 2014. Tickets go on sale from 13th December at 10am, with details to be found at the official website
www.symphoniclegends.com/ and will cost between £30 and £85.
