I think this may actually be the worst conference of all time. Not just from the perspective that they showed nothing for the hardcore. This looks like it could be a bigger failure than the $599 fiasco. What a shambles.

That conference just got steadily worse. You could even see the point when it went from good to bad during the Ubisoft bit. Should have added more teasers in there rather than a prolonged view at "Nintendoland" which pretty much everyone got the concept of in 2 minutes.
 
my god man, they r launching a brand new console, 95% of them r ports, no good length gameplay, that ultra exclusive ZombiU, no gamplay of that either.

i think lot of u r feeling the same way i'm, so i'll stop here.

i wanted to see some 3rd party games gameplay so much, nothing nothing nothing at all
 
Worst E3 ever. Sony, MS, and Nintendo should all be ashamed of themselves. Of the big 3, Sony had the best conference due to their first party line up and yet they were still terrible because they left Vita dead. No matter how good Pikmin 3 looks, I will not be buying a Wii U at launch and not anytime soon.

Seriously, how in the hell did Ubisoft win this E3!? Nintendo and Sony both had to rely on them in order to even get a decent amount of content for their pressers.
 
Nintendo's E3 presentation might have been disappointing, but they had more Wii U and 3DS games I was interested in than anything shown from MS/Sony.

Sony's only real misstep is ignoring the Vita.

They showed us a glimpse of Beyond: Two Souls and gameplay videos for both GoW: Ascension and The Last of Us. They also talked about the pub fund endeavor, which already has some interesting games being shown on the show floor.

Sure, not many big budget new IPs, but they definitely did way better than MS and Nintendo.
 
Nintendo...that was terrible.

You had to emphasize to the core audience in order for the purchase to be worthwhile and I heard nothing...I just...

Well, the Pickmin 3 Machine looks great. Everything else looks rushed and Wii-ports. Why would they waste a great opportunity to impress the public by showing off nothing great?

I am sure they are holding some back for TGS, since the Japanese market is the one they favour more but ports of games people have been playing for over a year just won't cut it, no matter how many waggle and screen gimmicks you put in them.

Bad Nintendo! No supper for you!
 
Even a well made 16-bit Zelda could have made this conference stellar. How much does it cost to outsource a couple for decent adventure games to please the hardcores Nintendo? You are gonna beg me to come back when everyones off to play with their ipads. But love won't live here anymore.
 
That presentation showed me absolutely nothing to make me want to replace my PS3 and 360 with a WiiU.

Pretty convinced at this point that I'm gonna pass on the WiiU altogether.
 
I just can't believe there was no release info. is this coming out this year? 2013? the more they wait, the older the tech gets
 
I couldn't be less excited for the Wii U if I tried. I didn't wait 6 years to play PS3/360 hand-me-downs. I'm just blown away by the direction Nintendo has taken. It's like they've lost any sense of creativity they once had. Where are the interesting games?

seriously. that was bad. so awful. not even pikmin 3 could save that. when (if) I pick up a WiiU, the only things I'll consider picking up is p3 and zombiu

Final Grades

Microsoft: D- (absolutely terrible, still trying to forget. there were a couple good demos: Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, and something I forgot but none of it had to do with Microsoft regardless. hated their casual focus. and was bored with THEIR games)

EA: C- (too many FPS, but Warfighter and Crysis III did look good, no Mirror's Edge 2, Dead Space 3 looks great but it doesn't look like it's doing the survival horror genre any justice)

Ubisoft: A- (lots and lots of good demos: ACIII, Rayman, Watch_Dogs, etc... no Beyond Good and Evil 2)

Sony: C (lack of Vita games, Wonderbook Book of Shit, montage galore... again--saved by game of the century Last of Us and God of War Ascension)

Nintendo: F (extreme disappointment, they had this e3 pretty much handed to them, completely underwhelming--how could you fuck this up?!?)
 
I'm not THAT disappointed, to be honest. Just finally seeing some actual Wii U games was good. They definitely needed to end on a much stronger note than Nintendoland...

Wasn't Brawl first unveiled at an event after their main conference? I'll hold off on total condemnation until the show's completely over.
