Nintendo kicks ass because I happen to like a lot of their exclusives. Most of these exclusives take advantage of the hardware and controller it's running on. This happened with NES, SNES, N64, GBA, GC, and probably eventually revolution. The only garbage system they made was Virtual Boy. I don't have DS because I haven't seen anything that compels me to pick one up. Not much of a portable fan either. Regardless, I have fun with Nintendo's stuff. And what did it cost me this gen? $150. That's about 2 nights out partying -- 1 if I decide to hit NYC. I can live with that.
You don't like it? Mad that your GC is collecting dust? Cool! Shutup and don't play it. My fun times were worth the price of entry. I totally understand why people aren't Gamecube fans but stop knocking them. I think everybody knows they're a niche player now. If you're heavily into gaming its not your primary console. I am looking forward to Zelda when it finally comes out. In the meantime I play Xbox and PS2.

I have a NintendoDS with 5 games and the Metroid Prime Hunters Demo.
SuperMario 64 DS: Great, is the game that I have played more until I bought Castlevania.
WarioWare Touched!: overhyped. The game can be completed at 100% with only 2 days of playing and when I say 100% I am saying with Pyoro minigame.
Yoshi Touch and Go!: Repetitive and boring.
Metroid Prime Hunters Demo: If Metroid Prime 2 Multiplayer sucks this sucks a lot more. I never undestanded the people that says that the DS control is good for the FPS.
Nintendogs: a silly Pokémon that has cost to me 40 Euro. Is repetitive, boring and the interactivity is 0.
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow: Great game. The best game of the console until today and one of the best Castlevania.

The only thing I hate about Nintendo fans is whenever I read a thread -- and this isn't even exclusive to GAF, but whenever I read a thread about some new XBOX 360 or PS3 game, there's always at least one fanboy asshat who has to come in and go-

Shutup you jerks nintendo is great it means in japanese try hard but in the end it is up to heaven and they started by making japanese cards called Karuta and they went on to become the biggest company ever in the Nikkei and miyamoto when he was a child explored the caves near kyoto and that is where he came up with some of the ideas for zelda and mario indeed now he hasa garden and that is where pikmin comes from because he can just look at something like say a frog and then come up with a frog game because he is a genius and he is the reason why nintendo will never die just multiply peace!

I'm still playing Advance Wars. It's definitely the best in the series. Controlling it with the stylus is so much faster and intuitive.
Although I haven't played it much the past week and a half or so, because of Lost in Blue, Castlevania, and Trauma Center. Lost in Blue is really fun and this might be the best Castlevania ever. Trauma Center can get really hard too, but it's great.
Nintendogs too. While obviously it's not the kind of game (oh, and it is a game) for everyone, it's a lot like Animal Crossing in that I'll play it constantly for a little while then stop for a week or two, then I'll pick it up again. I still haven't found the hat that unlocks the dalmation though. :\ I'm waiting to buy a 3rd dog until then.
Phoenix Wright next week, I hope. EB still doesn't have the boxart up, but GameStop does. I'm hoping Prime Pinball turns out to be as fun as Pokemon Pinball, not the horrid Mario one. :\
