Nintendo more than Zelda for Cube?

please focus on Zelda :/

Zelda has its own dedicated team SC, not to worry.

Speaking of Zelda, does anyone offhand know the LTD worldwide totals of Wind Waker? And if by region?
I'm curious to see how it compared to Majora's Mask, if someone has those numbers too.

Don't have regional totals, but here's the WW's ltd. as of April:

Zelda Wind Waker 3,764,752

IIRC, MM was around 3.3-.4 million units. I'll try & locate that info or you. WW's a shoe-in for surpassing 4 million units this generation.

Ahh, great. Thanks.
I just beat Wind Waker again today after not playing it since launch.
It really is an inspirational game. The backlash against the toon shading was totally uncalled for. As I'm completly psyched for the new realistic Zelda, I'm really glad Nintendo came out with a game in that style. I hope they do another.

I'm just glad to see WW did at least MM sales. It should do more.

thanks for the camelot and brownie brown info.

so are these the Nintendo 1st and 2nd parties?

1st Parties
Entertainment Analysis & Development [Kyoto]
Entertainment Analysis & Development [Tokyo]
Nintendo Integrated Research & Development
Nintendo Technology & Development
Nintendo Software Planning Division
Intelligent Systems
HAL labs
Brownie Brown
Retro Studios
Nintendo Software Technology Corporation
The Pokemon Company

2nd Parties
Game Designer's Studio
Genius Sonority

Wasn't Factor 5 at one point making a new PilotWings game? Since they're not "with" Nintendo anymore, did it get handed off to someone else? Maybe, IRD?

PunchOut! would be perfect for the DS, where you'd touch the screen to punch. PilotWings would be perfect for the Revolution, where you'd use the gyro controls to fly your planes.

Ohhhh E3, come on over and don't dissapoint!

I am unable to complete wind waker. The triforce quest is annoying and i refuse to find anymore pieces. Oh wells.

Is it safe to expect a Gamecube version of Mario Kart GP?

I would think so...it's a Triforce game and the visuals are on par, if not a little under what the GCN is capable of. If anything, though, I'd imagine Nintendo waiting, and releasing it with slightly beefed up graphics and online gameplay as a Revolution launch/near launch game.

Yes, Iwata confirmed this game at E3 2003, but I think it's on hold or cancelled.

The reason I don't find this likely is that if they were going to have it as a near-launch title for Revolution anyway, why bother with the Triforce version? They could instead use it as the first game for the "Revforce" arcade machine that would help create hype for Revolution, and not have to go through the hassle of creating a GCN-level and Rev-level version of all the graphical and sound elements.

I'm really not sure that IRD is making games. Nintendo had a restructuring of its development teams but i am not sure what is going on.

I am actually worried that R&D1 might be disbanded now. Seriously.

thanks!

i didn't realise there were that many nintendo's 1st parties.

so nintendo has been working pretty hard at 3rd party relationships. i know there's still room for improvement but still it's pretty impressive.

they really need to buy these:
-Camelot Software Planning (golden sun DS please!)
-Flagship (I love zelda and kirby :D )
-Alphadream (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga2,3 and 4 please!!!)

I wish Nintendo had bought out Quest/Ogre Battle. Who knows when SE will let Division 4 make a new one. :(

A 20 million installed base (and moving around 200k monthly in the slow period of the year) isn't quite dead yet. Plus Revolution being backwards compatible gives Nintendo more incentive to keep supporting their base and easing the hardware transition. NuZelda and Mario 128 are likely the final NCL projects for GameCube though, further support being 3rd party collerations a la Mario Baseball, Donkey Konga or F-Zero GX. Mario Kart Arcade GP seems likely now imo.

Miyamoto mentioned a while back a new Yoshi game was in development. It could be that he was referring to Touch & Go!, but I wouldnt rule out a new Yoshi game for GC.
