Looks like it will not launch on June which is good for me, because I'm going to buy Death Stranding 2, Stellar Blade DLC on June and Doom Dark Ages the previous month.

They had nation-wide Cube Club events over 20 years ago before release. Not that it's relevant.

They did do similar events for the original Switch in Jan - March 2017. So we should expect Switch 2 near the end of these events.

I don't think this can be seen as an indication for anything regarding the release.
these could be a post launch thing to convince people to upgrade, it could be a pre launch thing to do PR ahead of launch.
given that it's not meant for members of the press, it's not comparable to the early preview events of the first Switch, which were for the press and influencers only essentially.

They had the 3DS at PAX East a couple of weeks before it launched in NA.

I went to a Nintendo event years back. It was held in June, and ended up being a November release window. I wouldn't think they would launch in the same month as the event.

I think in recent years a lot changed when it comes to consoles being shown ahead of launch.
back when the 360 launched they had just normal demo kiosks in stores weeks before launch. the first time I played a game on 360 was a few weeks before launch in a MediaMarkt. they didn't have any game in it yet, so the only thing I could play was Hexic as it was pre installed even in the demo kiosks.
then a few days later I came back to the same store and they had Tony Hawk's American Wasteland in it.
the DS was also playable in normal stores ahead of launch. they had demo kiosks with Wario Ware and Mario 64 DS in it.
then a generation later and the only pre-launch stuff was at trade shows and conventions.

Can you apply already (or could) to the Paris event? Or is it all going to be available after the Direct? I might be tempted for Paris to apply with my kids, I hope the pre-selection means it will be somewhat manageable.
To receive a ticket, you had to apply to the lottery in January and then they told you whether you managed to get in or not. Later there was a waiting list, for people who didn't get in, but could when someone cancelled etc. At the moment, even the waiting list for the Paris event is closed, meaning that no one can apply now.
