Forbes is a garbage website that should be banned here.
That would piss off a lot of people here.
Is there any chance that this will turn out like the terrible NES Classic situation? Like how you still can't get one of them months later, and not as much for sales as for an insane shortage of product.
Don't think Nintendo ever expected the insanity around NES ClassicIs there any chance that this will turn out like the terrible NES Classic situation? Like how you still can't get one of them months later, and not as much for sales as for an insane shortage of product.
you know what would be silly? Nintendo not limiting pre orders and then not being able to fulfill them

Is this going to be Nintendo Direct-style, or an actual stage conference in front of a live audience a la the Nintendo's E3 days of old?
Lol don't wanna see HBox cry again...This is time to be optimistic.. like this guy...
Why wouldn't they just anticipate demand and make enough so that we don't have a Wii or Amiibo situation? Seems to be the most reasonable situation to me.
Silly maybe, but the reasoning is sound. Nintendo does pull this crap for basically no reason.
But limited preorders JUST to create buzz and then holding back stock/production is stupid. And nintendo is notorious for doing these things.

I used to feel this way about this stuff too, but somewhere along the way I've learned to be excited and hopeful without feeling let down if it's not as good as I'd hoped. It feels ways healthier and more fun, honestly. I wish I knew how I changed my mindset so I could give you pointers, but it just kind of happened?really nervous, I am hyped, but worrying that I am setting the bar too high, I really hope not however.
Guess I will know soon enough.
$599 US gold coins
20-50 a store at Gamestop in the US, and Walmart stores apparently getting more than Gamestop doesn't sound like it is that limited.
I think they were just like, nah we'll put out this thing our die hard fans are going to love it... And then shit just hit the roofIt's crazy though how we still never get any. I work in electronics at Walmart and we got 5 on November 11th, and 5 sometime around mid-December or so, and that's all we've ever gotten.
still predicting Zelda, Mario, and a racing game (wave race, f zero, excite truck, or mario kart) from Nintendo at launch. Nintendo loves launching with racing games. Nintendo needs a huge surprise title at launch besides Zelda.
You're not gonna get Melee HD. You're gonna get portable Melee SD with input lag.
So what is everyone watching the presentation on?
Tablet?
Wii-U Youtube App?
PS4 Twitch App?
PC?
Phone?

Rumors can't be confirmed until they're officially announced.Sorry to be that guy:
If there is any, can anyone list confirmed leak info? Not like accessories or anything like that. Are we still in the dark, mostly, about launch lineup, price, SKU?
Nintendo probably ordered 100,000 in total and expected them to sit on store shelves for a year. In this case I really don't think they anticipated the demand based on the number of other types of Retro sold.
I'm thinking between the end of the presentation and 1.What time are we thinking Amazon will take preorders?

The Wii situation? Nintendo produced more consoles than basically any video game manufacturer up to that point.
Kind of crazy how misinformed people are about that system's supply over a decade later.

This is spectacular news. Something about a live event to showcase new hardware gives it more pop than a slick, heavily edited YouTube video. The latter.
The next few days are basically Spaceworld 2017.
