Nintendo Treehouse team got a thank-you gift from 4chan's video games board.

I'm only gay for Reggie, when do we get to see him topless

The worst of 4chan really only comes out on /b/. And maybe /a/. The other boards are pretty darn harmless if you know how to discern correctly.

I'd sure as hell read boards on 4chan than shit on reddit like "the red pill" or other trike.

Are we really that prudish that we're clutching our pearls because someone posted publicly-available pictures? No one, that I know of, has broken into this man's home and stolen private pictures. Settle down, nanas.

Plus he's hot so you know, stop ruining our fun :-p

I think it's just because of all the borderline creepy waifu comments in the livestream thread combined with the fact that treehouse folks were reading it. Wasn't really a good look for gaf when gaffers were talking about people that were reading the thread like characters from a harem anime.

This thread about /v/ is reaching some crazy levels of irony.

This. So much this.

It just seems par for the course that there is this image painted, perhaps by a loud minority/majority, that pretty much all forums hate each other. Almost any time I hear about GameFAQs, /v/, Reddit, etc. it is usually followed by some snark posting about how their community is terrible. I've seen a fair share of offensive topics/posters on GAF, and the moderation weed through with generally high accuracy; one of the many reasons I love posting here. On the flip side, these other forums host communities and posters that aren't all offensive, and are capable of feats as this topic describes. So why the snide? I mean, the topic has certainly been derailed multiple times in this thread(unironically?) like that of which I'd expect from the others listed above. Why rise on the high-horse and take an elitist stance, when we could take part in initiatives like this and learn from the other communities to our betterment? Does labeling them brutally really make us come off as the better individuals? I would think not. So next time around I'd like to see us partake in initiatives like /v/'s thank-you collages, instead of engaging in pissing contests of GAF vs X.

It's still weird, imagine if someone went in posted up random images of you found on Twitter and Facebook, regardless of if they were up as public. Also combined with other comments found in treehouse threads.

>Feminazis/f****ts
Alright, some people are actually homophobic/sexist, some use those words as substiutions for SJW, and some legitimately post in threads about that sort of subject matter without posting those slurs. There's a legit discussion to be had about Anita Sarkessian and Tumblr White Knights being bad for the industry, or that EA has tried to scapegoat bad writing as being progressive. Don't lump in some actual sexist and homophobic posters with people who are actually having a legit discussion.
>K***s
This is more of a bigger issue than 4chan, k***/j** are used by far, far more than 4chan to describe people trying to rip people off. It's bad, but once again, people are often more bitching about greedy practices than being antisemetic in those threads.

I mean, don't get me wrong, people will shit post racist, sexist, etc. things a lot on 4chan. But it's just shit posting, it's easy for a lot of people to filter out. I'm not saying it's wrong that you have a low tolerance for it. But it is wrong to assume that people who use those slurs, or people who just post in threads where people use those slurs, have no legitimate things to say.

EDIT: Editted to censor my slurs, since the person whose post I was referring to censored theirs.

This is fucking ridiculous lol. In my opinion anyone who uses slurs has nothing legimate to say. I stopped going on 4chan because the language used there rots the mind. Honestly, unless you are a minority, female, gay, or a combination of all three i dont think you can understand what im trying to say. 4chan is largely a cesspool and at least here i dont have to dig through waves of hatred (trolling or otherwise) to find decent discussion.

I had "friends" in college who used f****t and n*****r in trolling ways too and i knew i had to stop hanging around them when i began to use the same language toward my own people. If you have to stand and dwell in shit to have decent discussion then you need to question yourself.

Cool poster though.

Hmmm, that's the part of the story I'm missing. Didn't really get into the threads.

It's a well known phenomenon, numerous scientific studies have been done into it. You place together a group of humans in a group or community or directly or indirectly pit them interact with a different group for competition or basically anything there's often a increased sense cooperation within that group and hostility against other groups for utterly mundane and illogical reasons,

Many forms of prejudice are formed from this (racism, sexism you name it). Many people always find a way to separate themselves as a group and be hostile to those that aren't part of that group. This thread shows it in full display,

The funny thing is that Nate mentioned in one of the segments on day one that Erik has a daughter.

So.... sorry people !

Can we stop this now ?
What...? Is this true?

Erik Peterson has reached DILF status??? You've gone and done it now. Thread derailment into hyper overdrive!

What's wrong with /a/?

I've been going there for years and I never noticed anything that's /b/-tier

umm..what? How does not having your username make it any less effective? The only point of this is for fans to show their appreciation to them by contributing and sending the big letter. Or do you honestly think they would have liked it more if they saw the usernames of every single contributor?

This seems more like an ego thing to me than being "effective".

Some people would rather get a signed card than an unsigned one.
Some people would rather get a call instead of a text.
Some people. I posted my feelings about it.

I rather get a signed card. I take it you don't care. I'm not sure what the heck you read to get anything about it being about ego.

I don't agree with posting Erik Peterson's personal pics, but you guys are not implying just finding him attractive is creepy, right?

Pretty much hit the nail on the head? Lol'd at the bolded too.

Finding someone attractive is one thing. Gushing about how attractive they are is something else. Especially if being attractive isn't part of their job. Oh, and you've never met them a day in your life.

#creepyGAF ?? Haha those pics are nice. They work for tree house so they're gaming related?

Support the team. Wonderful E3

This thread is why people think we are cunts.

This is too funny. Y'all are a legit shook, insecure, jealous and madder than fuck that /v/ is being recognized for something positive instead of GAF. There ARE other gamers and other gaming sites out there guys. And no, they aren't all shit. Calm down.

GAF takes itself too seriously sometimes. I lurk /v/ all the time. Learn how to relax and maybe give yourselves some sense of perspective.

Ive read the whole thead and this is the conclusion.
They did a great gesture, don't be cunts by badmouthing them now and being jelous.
Also shaking my head to some posters being angry because some people have send a thanks to nintendo and believe they don't deserve it.
And some posts are starting to get a little bit creepy.

GAF, just stop. STAHP IT.

They read GAF. You're going to creep them out like in the Retro thread.
What happened in the Retro thread? Now I'm curious.

The funny thing is that Nate mentioned in one of the segments on day one that Erik has a daughter.

Can we stop this now ?
I actually remember this part, but I forget if both Eriks were present. And I thought it was Ethan that said it, not Nate.

This thread is proof that the rest of the internet is just as shitty as 4chan. Jeez dude.

EDIT: Except maybe Christian and Kidz forums; the home of the web's paragons.

ITT: NeoGAFfers doesn't know how to take an L.

You people are legitimately upset that someone did good for someone. Jesus christ.
