Didn't like the first one, the goddamn posture shit felt like constantly learning to drive a synchronous car... But maybe I'll give it another go, I played it right after finishing Sekiro so nothing would feel up to par anyway so maybe I'm judging it unfairly

Looks exactly like the first game. I don't know what they're doing out there, but seeing exactly the same visuals and animations from Nioh 1, a game from almost a decade ago, is not OK.

Will play the demo, though.

I liked the first one but got stuck on a boss who flies at you and stabs you and I couldn't find a way to avoid it. After beating Sekiro my first ever souls games that I could beat I went back to Nioh and the combat felt silly after that. I just bought Nioh 2 though which I heard is really good so we will see.

Two Styles: Samurai and Ninja

In "Nioh 3", players can enjoy two different fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja.
Based on the tendencies of the enemies and stages, players can switch seamlessly between Samurai and Ninja techniques instantly at any time, or choose to fight using only one style continuously based on the challenge ahead. Feel free to play with the style you like best.

Samurai Style

This style provides a gameplay experience similar to previous "Nioh" titles. New actions such as "Arts Proficiency", which enhances the power of martial arts, and "Deflect", which allows players to block enemy attacks at the last moment, have been added, helping create a series of intense and deadly face-to-face confrontations.

Ninja Style

This style excels in quick movements like dodging and aerial actions, giving ninjas the advantage of being able to attack from outside of the enemy's range by utilizing a variety of "Ninjutsu" techniques according to the situation on the battlefield. Players have the ability to use techniques like "Mist", which leaves a clone after an attack, and "Evade", which allows for narrowly avoiding enemy strikes. Both techniques help players outmaneuver foes while delivering devastating speed attacks from

Definitely sounds interesting. I hope they learned some hard lessons from Rise of Ronin with the open world. I liked that game quite a bit but it had some serious rough edges.

Lets fucking GO!!!
Please be good, i've hated TN's recent efforts so much, they dumbed down the Nioh formula so much, but i'm hoping they make nioh 3 even more complex and numbers heavy, unlike Rise of the ronin and wo long.

Yeah they need a win. Couldn't finish WL or RotR.

Most exciting game announced at the State of Play! Interested to explore the open world change, wonder if we'll get a rideable steed or something to glide around or what.
