This is, it's worth keeping in mind, the same format they've used at Gamescom for years. They have had news at these events in the past, too, it's just a very different format...

I might be jumping the gun, but the lack of conference stream means lack of news.

Bigger problem is that it sends a message that europe ''doesn't matter''. Sony has thrown a good show for years now at GC even if they didn't have huge bombs. They were the only company to do so. And now that MS is back at the event you'd think it is because they want to do everything they can to kickstart hype in EU, the weak region for them where they still have the potential to gain more marketshare (unlike Japan IMO). And now we have a one two punch with big part of western europe release being delayed till next year by 4 months or whatever and now they don't even throw a show for us. Even if they didn't have anything to announce they could throw a good show by showing new stuff from the already announced games.

This is just me personally but I'm probably more excited to see more Infamous footage than any new games unless we are talking about U4 here and I expect that to be a VGA announcement. The Order announcement was kinda lame to be honest and got pretty lukewarm reception for the only new Sony game being revealed at E3. Where was the gameplay?

This, they panicked and showed all their games, save for maybe some Kinect games. It was obvious they showed Quantum Break twice without gameplay which suggests that's early. Halo was teased without a proper name, and what was the point showing that Black Tusk game. Oh and I nearly forgot they showed Sunset Overdrive with no gameplay too. I bet Crackdown 3 and the next Fable are super early in development, more so than the above games, I'm talking second half of 2015. This is why MS money hatted time exclusive for TitanFall and money hatted Dead Rising 3. Outsourced Killer Instinct and contracted inSomniac, their first party output is shit.
