No Rest for the Wicked may be skipping Xbox due to "market conditions" [Update: Dev reply added to OP]

Labeling that guy's response as entitlement is crazy. It's not the consumer's fault that a developer doesn't have the resources to release a game simultaneously across all platforms (something most indie devs already do if there is no exclusivity agreement), and developers aren't entitled to our support. Most people aren't going to want to support someone who does something they don't like. This is pretty common. I'm a PC gamer, and I won't support developers who prioritize consoles over PC.

I miss the days when devs just made games. I don't understand what they think they gain by replying to random people on Twitter.

I'm lost on the back and forth about indie support. thomasmahler thomasmahler has spoken and provided an explanation.

In the earlier days, we would read through magazines to find a quote from a dev. It wasn't that they did not speak, it is that they did not have the available resources to speak out that they do today. I am a fan of them speaking to the community even if it is not something I want to hear sometimes.

It's not just that, I'm sure most indie devs these days have community managers or some type of social media presence (discords, subreddits, etc) but when was the last time you heard any "drama" from Supergiant Games or Motion Twin, or any other indie devs who also have their latest release in Early Access? Devs should be engaging with their community, not looking for sympathy.

Try connecting it to a TV and start up Steam in it's big picture mode. It's VERY close to a console experience.

Cool room.

I legit had to scroll back up thinking that's exactly what I just saw as it whizzed past...

I do not feel the need to police them. They are capable of making decisions on how they want to communicate. That is not to say it does not come with consequences if they cross a line but I want more transparency and communication from devs. Not less.

I'm not into top down games (unless they're Zelda or some JRPG) but this one definitely gets my attention, specially after seeing what they did in Unity, hoping the best for devs team, PC + PS5 makes sense now, it may not later, who knows, but indies can only do so much and that's completely understandable

The room is just a random living room but yeah I went all in on the scifi look for the PC

Unfortunately I've swapped out the white graphics card to a black one now, breaks the look a bit but I had some issues with 16GB VRAM and just refused to scale things back when it was so new, besides that it's all white, controller too.

They definitely dont need to be policed but I think there is a big difference with being transparent with your customers and replying to random people on twitter.

Ready or Not, FF16, Grounded 2, Helldivers, Black Myth, Mafia, Gears, Borderlands, NG4, OW2, VtM, FF Remake...

Call me crazy, but I think the wait and/or a no show will be just fine. Lol.
