Cope with reality?
How many big AAA games from 3rd party publishers did the Switch 1 get?
Good point.

That doesn't contradict the lack of 3rd party support I mentioned...Indies sell exceptionally well on Switch because a portable device is perfect for them.
That doesn't support your claim that the Switch doesn't have games. That doesn't contradict the lack of 3rd party support I mentioned...
I miss the days when devs just made games. I don't understand what they think they gain by replying to random people on Twitter.
It's not just that, I'm sure most indie devs these days have community managers or some type of social media presence (discords, subreddits, etc) but when was the last time you heard any "drama" from Supergiant Games or Motion Twin, or any other indie devs who also have their latest release in Early Access? Devs should be engaging with their community, not looking for sympathy.I'm lost on the back and forth about indie support.thomasmahler has spoken and provided an explanation.
In the earlier days, we would read through magazines to find a quote from a dev. It wasn't that they did not speak, it is that they did not have the available resources to speak out that they do today. I am a fan of them speaking to the community even if it is not something I want to hear sometimes.
Cool room.Try connecting it to a TV and start up Steam in it's big picture mode. It's VERY close to a console experience.

I do not feel the need to police them. They are capable of making decisions on how they want to communicate. That is not to say it does not come with consequences if they cross a line but I want more transparency and communication from devs. Not less. It's not just that, I'm sure most indie devs these days have community managers or some type of social media presence (discords, subreddits, etc) but when was the last time you heard any "drama" from Supergiant Games or Motion Twin, or any other indie devs who also have their latest release in Early Access? purple forum got mad about Thomas calling them purple forum here on GAF, they closed the thread immediately xD
The room is just a random living room but yeah I went all in on the scifi look for the PCCool room.
I legit had to scroll back up thinking that's exactly what I just saw as it whizzed past...
They definitely dont need to be policed but I think there is a big difference with being transparent with your customers and replying to random people on twitter.I do not feel the need to police them. What are you lost on specifically?I'm lost on the back and forth about indie support.

That's where the discussion went. You can follow it back to the initial comment if you need more context. This is a discussion forum. What the point of it is? The dev has spoken on the subject when it comes to this particular game.
Xbox executives listen to these kind of shows?
