Yes there was this older lady who did pick 3 and pick 4 a lot with the same numbers. She actually won quite a few times and it was weird because She always had a pattern for each day of the week for what numbers She wanted.

But that PB number alone can fuck things up.

So I know what you mean by patterns and possibly getting stuck sharing the pot. Either way you would still get a shit load of money.

If the lottery allows, always pick numbers above 31. Same odds of winning but less chance of sharing it with people using birthdays as numbers

Hmmm...

is the next drawing tomorrow night?

if it doesn't hit this time, could we see the first $1,000,000,000 lottery drawing?

Winning the lottery sounds like the biggest addition of stress anyone can have.

Fuck all that. Sounds like you are trying to get away with a crime.

Yeah, but it is like the most worthwhile crime ever. Also, I'd love for others to add to my list of things up above to do to hide that you've won. Just regarding states that require you to claim the ticket with your real name and not using a trust or remaining anonymous... Because those states make it too easy.

If you don't spend at least half of your fortune protecting your other half, you're doing it wrong.

If someone does win the powerball. What is th best way in retrieving the money?

Go to a lawyer first?

Do u deposit everything into your savings account?

Take pictures of your winnings? So that people dont steal it?

Sharing is a good problem to have (and is a silly thing to worry about), as it means you had the winning numbers. If you had any others, there would be nothing to share.

If you're going to waste your money on a lottery ticket, just play whatever numbers you wish and kiss your money goodbye.

Given the fact that it will probably climb $400M between Wednesday and Saturdays drawing, I'd likely get to $1.5B if no one wins tomorrow.

I'll put in a few bucks, why not?

Winning this would probably ruin my as a human being. I'm not the kind of person who can not work with millions of dollars. I'd end up dead from stupidity.

Before that I would stack a giant house with 20 arcade machines and 50 pinball cabinets.

I'm positive you could find something that resembles work but you find very satisfying too.

Just imagine being able to resurrect your favorite video game franchise or create your own.

Oh, the first thing I would do is get in touch with David Fincher and fund that 'The Goon' cg movie that never got off the ground.

Last night I had chinese for dinner and my fortune cookie said "you will soon come into a fortune."

Time for me to go buy a powerball ticket?

I bet the store next door made a deal with the restaurant, and had those messages planted. Mad profits from increased ticket sales.

I once had a fortune cookie straight up tell me 'you should play the lottery' and it gave me my lucky numbers. I got one number right.

After the lump sum and taxes you have 226 million left in your bank account. I could live with that for the rest of my life, time to play $20 bucks.

That's just nuts. How's the lump sum cash value calculated btw.? The percentage seems to change a bit as the jackpot keeps growing.

The lump sum is the actual value of all the tickets purchased. The advertised "jackpot' is the amortized approximate value of all annuity payments if you allow the lottery to invest the lump sum (however they see fit) and pay you yearly.

Actually you'd end up with $321M after Federal taxes and before you pay your state tax (usually around $25M, or perhaps none at all, depending on where you live).

I'd rather not win this much money. Would probably be killed or family will hate you for not solving all of their financial needs in a week.

Ah ok. I diveded by 2 for the lump sum and them subtracted 33% in taxes. Even better.

Those are the next winning numbers. I'd buy the ticket but I don't really like money.

What are the odds of me being the only one that quotes you vs entire GAF quoting you inspired by true regret a few days from today?

Ah, that totally makes sense. That's a lot of tickets.

lmao I've envisioned so many scenarios like that already

Like what if those are the numbers and I didn't buy a ticket?
