Best Actress for Cate Blanchett for Blue Jasmine.
Either her or Brie Larson for Short Term 12 would be great picks.

100%.Whats the chances for The Wind Rises getting a nom?
Man they are going to struggle to put out ten best picture nominations this year. CNN speculating Iron Man 3 might even get one. Weak year for sure. I guess they don't need to fill out ten so we will see.
When fx porn like Gravity is one of the two year's best pic front runner you know it's a ban year.
As for the nominations you have 12 years, Wolf, Gravity, Dallas Buyer's Club, American Hustle, Captain Phillips. Then what? Her? Nebraska? Um that's stretching it to 8. Saving Mr Banks? Okay, whatever. The Butler? Good Lord. Llewyn Davis? That was pretty small time. Iron Man 3 doesn't seem like such a stretch anymore. Last year we saw only 9 nominations and I think we will see the same.

Minus American Hustle, this is one of the few years where i'm happy to see any of the "contenders" win the best picture award (Her, 12 Years, Gravity, Wolf of Wallstreet)
..but knowing how often the academy gets it wrong, this means American Hustle will win.
That seems like quite a long shot. Neither she nor the film has seen nominations, let alone wins, with the other major awards.Either her or Brie Larson for Short Term 12 would be great picks.

I was just talking about this with a friend earlier. For the most part it's pretty entertaining in the moment, but without any strong unifying themes or ideas, there's nothing to make it stick in the mind.American Hustle will be completely and utterly forgotten in a year or two. Count on it.

I loved it too. But hey, opinions. So apparently American Hustle is everyone's favorite critically-acclaimed film to shit on this year.
Your loss. Film is fucking awesome.
I hope Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams don't end up winning like the Golden Globes.
I haven't see all the other movies, but if those two are the best performances... :\
It wasn't a bad movie and had some outstanding performances. But I felt like it just didn't have that excitement or humor or "it" that something like Goodfellas or the movies it was similar to had.So apparently American Hustle is everyone's favorite critically-acclaimed film to shit on this year.

Lawrence will probably win, Adams obviously won't (Blanchett).
Thank god Lawrance wasn't nominated. :lol

Amy Adams is so good at everything but she's doomed to be the eternal runner-up..
The Butler rightfully not nominated in any of the big categories
Thank you Black Jesus
I didn't care about what happened to any of the characters by the end of American Hustle. I agree with the people saying it will be forgotten in a few years by most people. So apparently American Hustle is everyone's favorite critically-acclaimed film to shit on this year.

Before Sunrise.Nothing unexpected..nothing to root for (in my opinion).
BTW..
What is Before Midnight adapated from?
It was basically the full retard version of Oscar bait. You can't try too hard to win awards.I'm kind of shocked, it had Oscar-bait written all over it.
John Williams nominated AH-GAAAINNN!!!! for The Book Thief - his 49th Oscar nomination (10 behind Walt Disney).
