Probably because there's actual games ready to play on the 3DS as opposed to n o t h i n g on a system that isn't even out yet.

REAL TALK: 2016 was the second best year of the 3DS in North America, only behind 2013. This makes up for a pretty lackluster 2015.

I basically played nothing but 3DS games this year and they were all fantastic.

Also fuck this.

Why would The Rock even consider joining The Alliance? Who thought that would be a legit possibility? This storyline is so bad.

Tyson is legitimately one of the most entertaining parts of the show. I don't know why they won't have him on it after he has been on it since the start.

They care enough about the bad PR they'd get if they didn't permanently employ him after what happened, but they don't care about anything he could contribute on the show. Whether that's because of him or Natalya who knows, but they've moved on entirely from him in the public eye, despite him pulling a Bryan and refusing to say he's retired.

The pitch was to present this as a fight. The announcers were told, unlike everything else on the show, to call it like a fight. The feeling is the audience was mature enough and had seen enough UFC to know that a fight can be short and explosive, and that’s not ripping off the public or making them dissatisfied. Plus, and while I don’t even know that this came up in this specific case, it is good for educational purposes of the audience for them to believe a main event can end at any time, as opposed to knowing that everyone gets in their repertoire of moves, secondary non-finishes, and not until that is over with is the match actually going to end. The big PPV shows of late have been ending after 11 p.m., and thus, as Goldberg and Lesnar went to the ring with about 30 minutes left, people were conditioned, knowing how long the show goes, that it would be a normal length main event. Instead, the show ended “way early.”

Yep time for Brawl For All Pt. 2

what if

what if you tried that with the roster that's actually there 300 days a year

cause then it wouldn't be special.

WWE has made it so that the part timers are the real superstars and the main roster guys there everyday are a bunch of goobers who mark out over Goldberg

I do hope they recognize how much that attitude screws them in the long run. Goldberg, Brock, Cena, Taker, etc. aren't getting any younger. The amount of time you can rely on them to come back and put on matches is limited. Not to mention the health risk that wrestling puts on them as they get older.

Sometimes it feels like the company has thrown in the towel on creating new stars, though. So I don't know what they plan long term.

Shit, I'm not the one bagging on a man for his opinions about freaking wrestling of all things. So Big Dave didn't like the Obvious MOTY And Bestest Tag Match EVER™ as much as you guys, huh? Shame.

Who the fuck is bagging him? He asked, I told him. It's a running theme of his reviews in recent years. DoFixer vs Blood Generation isn't even a memorable match in the library of Dragon Gate matches but because Meltzer was there live and because there were lots of spots he'd never seen before, he gave it 5 stars.

A running theme? I would bring up the other three 5* matches from Dave this year, none of which were spotfests, but as they're all NJPW matches I doubt it'll help much :p

Also, the DG tag totally deserved it at the time because it was a spectacular match and it introduced a whole style not just to Meltzer, but to lots of fans across the world. Sure, there were better DG tags before and since that match, but we're talking degrees of awesomeness here - it's like trying to decide which 90's M-Pro tag is the best.

All the NJPW matches he gave 5 stars to are singles matches. The last tag team match he gave to that prior to the Dragon Gate match was in 1997. And when you look at teams like Strong BJ, Twin Towers, Happy Motel, Los Traumas, Averno & Chessman, The Revival, whoever else, you can't say a Bucks match deserved it more. Even the GOD vs Kojima and friend was better than any match the Bucks have put on. Pretty much every Units Disband match has been better than the ROH DG match with hotter crowds.

Personally I don't care what he rates stuff. He doesn't watch most the stuff I watch. The issue comes when other people care so much about his ratings and use it as some sort of principle of their argument. Like it means anything. And a lot of people do it.
