Now that Rude Removal's been shown, what's your next "Holy Grail" of lost media?

Yes! I've been waiting a while for this.

My main two have been mentioned, the lost footage from Magnificent Ambersons, and any and all lost Dr Who episodes. Welles had plenty of stuff now lost or tied up in legal bullshit; I'd love to see the lost footage from It's All True and Lady From Shanghai, not to mention more of Other Side of the Wind. As far as other directors, the lost original cut of Greed would be another, along with Murnau's Four Devils.

I really want some of the fan edits of the Matrix trilogy. I heard some of them are pretty good. Basically the three films become 2 and all the trash is excised.

Same thing with some of the new Star Wars fan edits.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
The Piranha scene from Cannibal Holocaust, or any of the other scenes cut from it.

I'll also add the missing 106 from Doctor Who.

Apparently there's two hours from Planes, Trains and Automobiles that got cut by the studio. Reportedly they're rotting in a vault somewhere. I'd love to see those.

By the way, that Lost Media wiki is really interesting.
It needs more work though, I know there's additional Pokemon episodes that never aired besides the two mentioned.

Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me. There was talk of 4(?) Hour cut that was shown on the festival circuit. Cut footage featured the regular supporting cast of the tv show.
Fans have been chasing footage for years.

The Spider Pit scene from the original King Kong (Peter Jackson's stop-motion recreation only makes me want to see it more).

The uncut theatrical version of The Big Boss.

Edit: Oh and the original uncensored version of the Fist of the North Star animated movie.

Yeah, I just found it today while looking up Rude Removal information. It appears to be fairly new. Hopefully it gets some attention and more contributors.

Another set of items I wouldn't mind being released... Ed Wood's pornographic movies. The fact that they're skin flicks (And I can't imagine them being good ones) aside, I feel like a filmmaker as "iconic" as Wood should have a more complete filmography available. Some have been recovered or evidenced to exist through appearances in other media, but haven't been released. Obviously releasing porn isn't as simple as mainstream movies, but I think an Ed Wood boxset could include them.

It's been shown, and even released on home video.
that's good to know, I wasn't sure since I just remembered the news for a couple of years ago, the story behind it is fascinating though, the uncut version belonged to a private collection fron a guy in Uruguay or Argentina and it was found pretty much by accident after more than 80 years.

Some of these entries sound like something out of a Creepypasta, but cross-checking shows they are real. Some of them I know like The Day the Clown Cried and Attack of the Giant Vulture (I even remember seeing it).

Also, TVTropes has an article bringing up instances similar to Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. Where footage is recorded but something happens and it's replaced before going on air. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheOtherMarty

The audio recording of Tim Treadwell and his girlfriend being eaten alive by a grizzly bear.

It was recorded by Treadwell's video camera. There is only audio because the lens cap was left on.

Werner Herzog is the only person who's heard it besides the authorities.

Why would anybody want to hear this?

I listened to that 911 call from that guy trapped at the top of the WTC once. Never making that mistake again.

More lost Pokemon stuff. According to the late Maddie Blaustein, they actually recorded a dub for the infamous Electric Soldier Porygon and slowed down the flashing lights, but were not allowed to air it thanks to the worldwide ban on the episode.

Can someone explain creepypasta to me?

They're spooky stories often told by copy & pasting them (copypasta -> creepypasta). A good number can be found on 4chan's /x/ board.
A common type of creepypasta is the "lost episode" story, where an unsuspecting viewer witnesses a horrifying episode of a show. Popular ones include Suicide Mouse, Dead Bart, and Squidward's Suicide. These stories are completely fictional, they never happened (but that hasn't stopped fans from recreating them).

I would love to see the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 shows.

It was originally on a UHF channel before getting picked up by Comedy Central. There are copies of most of the original series, except for the first few shows.

That's the Holy Grail for MST3K fans at least.

They aren't really lost, since Jim Mallon has the master tapes, but I'd like an official release of the KTMA season of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

This one isn't really lost, but it doesn't have an official release. Cocksucker Blues, a Rolling Stones documentary that can only be viewed with the director's presence due to a court order.

You mean the KTMA shows? I think a couple of those are out there.

Not a "holy grail," but I'm curious about the episode of the podcast "Jordan, Jesse, Go" with the Penny Arcade guys. Supposedly they came off really shitty in it because they were kept waiting for half an hour or something.

The host, Jesse, doesn't want to air it, though, supposedly to keep them from sounding like assholes.

Speaking of MST3k, I would love for the two Godzilla episodes to get a DVD release. I know they are easy to find online, and Godzilla vs. Megalon was released as part of Volume X for all of about five minutes, but I would actually like to own them.

Godzilla vs. Megalon is one of my favorite episodes ever, and I am lucky in that my local library has a copy.

I've only seen Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster once and while I didn't really love it, I'd still like to have it.

Plus in an interview last year, the guy from Shout Factory said that Riding with Death is never coming either, which is a dirty, rotten shame. Thankfully, it is a super easy episode to find on Youtube.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Speaking of Pokemon, I've found out recently they banned the Pichu Brothers mini-movie that aired alongside the Entei Movie (Movie 3) in Japan. It was actually left off the recent Blu-Ray Movie collection.

All because the idol narrator of the short was caught with drugs, lol.

At least Roger Christian's Black Angel was found recently. It seems like it was an amazing short film, I'd love to see it someday.

I would love to have some one find some of Shakespeare's Lost Plays, like Love's Labour's Won (shut up Dr. Who fans) and Ur-Hamlet.

The full electric version of Springsteen's Nebraska would be epic, if they ever decided to release it. Pink Floyd's Household Objects would be pretty wacky, too.
