The more I think of Greenberg's comment, the more I believe it is interpreted as if they almost sold more than 2X every platform.
Meaning, nearly every single console/handheld was outsold by double, but not all. In this case, that means the PS3 managed to do better.
His statement doesn't give any indication of the relative quantity of how much they outsold the console that managed to do better than getting twice outsold.
If it was not selling well because of some reason based on fact/data then sure.
If it was not selling well because it didn't meet some arbitrary expectation then no.
I never claimed that a console needs to be the top selling console in a region to be considered to be selling well. Where did you get that from?
I also think that if, for example the Wii did 1 million and the 360 did 750k then, yes, you could not use the same word to describe their sales seeing as one is considerably better than the other.
You stated that the PS3 didn't do well.
I asked you why. You said "because 360 outsold it"
I never really heard anyone claiming 360 sales were bad prior to 2010 for the month of November. Didn't do nearly as well as Wii, but no one was claiming it didn't do well. Quite the opposite, actually. Which is a little strange since the estimated PS3 sales this month are approximately on par with what the 360 would do prior to 2010.
