Considering the hype surrounding Killzone before release, and all the B2G1 deals, I'm very shocked at that number.
Does NPD track Amazon?
Do we have rough US numbers for Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall ?.

Is it normal for one group to reveal NPD numbers relating to another group? Does each group get access to all the data for all sales, and then they can choose whatever they want to make public, even numbers for competitors?

KNACK
So around 370,000 units for Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall and around 620,000 for Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome.
This would mean that in December Knack + Killzone: Shadow Fall sold around 229,000 units whereas the Xbox One trio did around 880,000.
Of course there is a certain margin of error because for example I counted 200k for both Forza 5 and Ryse while the range is 185k - 200k.
Edit: Now that I think about it, there were more Xbox One first or second party titles besides those 3?
I guess the shared numbers are LTD, no?November:

"Hardware sales of the Wii U were also positive with December 2013 marking its highest month for unit sales month so far," NPD analyst Liam Callahan noted. Guess having great games does sell hardware, huh?
431k for Ryse.
Move aside, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, Metal Gear Rising.

Is Greenberg referring to 2013 or December with his numbers? I assumed 2013.

Oh, he may be referring to 2013 LTD with those figures. I'm not sure which is right.
Concept + marketing + system launch hype can do wonders!Sad that a mediocre Crytek game outsold these 3.

It's possible that it's December, I think. It would just mean a lot less third party games sold. Although I think it's more likely that the numbers are LTD.it almost has to be doesn't it, otherwise the Xbox One attach rate doesn't match up
Checking again, the 1.5M claim doesn't specify LTD or December. So in theory it could be either?Thats 2M, 500k more than the 1.5M claimed.

Haha, Greenberg, you card. You just posted that third party games sell more on PS4.
LTD sales number (includes both physical and digital) for some 3DS titles.
Pokémon X / Y - 3,170,000 (820,000 in December)
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - 1,210,000
Animal Crossing: New Leaf - 1,100,000

So over 460k for december 2013, I think it's ok-ish for Wii U standarts, hopefully Nintendo deliver some other goods for next ND.December 2012 at 460K.

Huh? How?
We know this already from NPD order:
CoD, BF4, and JD'14 sold better on XBO in 2013. (The 3 best selling games of December). He doesn't mention Just Dance so we know it's not a complete list of games.
LEGO and Skylanders may have also sold better overall on XBO since they beat the PS4 versions in December. We know at least six 3rd party games sold better on XBO last month.

You do, of course, realize that Nintendo would be revealing combined numbers that are down year over year, which only continues a downward trend for their business. There is nothing for them to crow about for December, they might as well sit on the news until their quarterly financials.
Well, the 360 had a higher attach ratio, so it wouldn't surprise me if the trend continues this gen even if the PS4 manages to outsell it month to month (though I think January XBox One will again come out ahead).I'm surprised at the game sales being higher on XB1 considering the console is $100 more.
Pretty sure Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising have sold over a million.
