I think he is referring to the going monthly rate, not LTD. 2:1 is probably quite close to the actual figures.

There aren't mentions of PS4 sales because Sony announced their last PS4 sales milestone yesterday, and Polygon covered it then.

They've done some interviews and series retrospectives that I've really enjoyed. It's mostly the reviews where things get weird.
I think he is just disgraced for losing a $10 bet that he never paid up. And of course being called the most disreputable games journalist by the owner is not helping.

Also I don't think MS would be getting creamed nearly as much as they are now if they hadn't announced their bone-headed DRM plans or forced Kinect on everyone. Which is especially funny seeing Kuchera come to their rescue after fellating them for the E3 fiasco.

I used to date a woman who was a technical editor and she did some work on instruction manuals. Part of her time was spent getting the people writing the manuals to understand that the people reading the manuals would be using the common definitions of words, not the technical definitions. And because the legal onus was on the manual writers to communicate effectively, not the other way around, things took forever to get approved.
How is it worded badly? It's perfectly clear what he is saying.
Kuchera isn't talking about hardware he's saying that by ignoring digital the headline drop in software sales from retail isn't reflective of the total value of the market as it only counts OTC sales of physical goods.
It was the same with music when digital started - it took a while for the main sales trackers to pick it up and include them.

Great numbers for Sony and MS. Anyone still desperately clinging on to MS overtaking Sony at the current pricing matchup needs to wake up. I'm interested in seeing how the 3DS is holding up although Nintendo probably won't release anyhting.

I normally try to stay out of these conversation, but jesus, microsoft is damned if they do damned if they don't for so many people on this forum. If they don't report numbers, they are clearly a disaster, if they do report numbers, people say that it was a bad move to report numbers. Also, what the hell are people expecting when they mock microsoft for reporting sold-in numbers? Do you expect a company to display itself in the worst light possible? Of course they wouldn't report sold-through numbers if it made them look worse, that is just business, not microsoft being some evil corporation.
All this aside, congrats to sony for another good month with the ps4. Competition like this is always great and will continue to push microsoft to innovate.
