Xbox One > Xbox 360 doesn't really mean anything. It's a non-statement.
Xbox 360 had ridiculous supply issues which plagued it all throughout its early months.
Wii U saved?
At this point, it's kind of like last gen never even happened. Sony is happily sitting on top of the mountain while MS and Nintendo sit in the valley with stunned looks on their faces battling for the bronze.
So do we think that means PS4 software LTD has finally surprised XB1 LTD or what? They always loved to tout that about
Absolutely nothing.
Which is telling when that apparently beats the alternative of even hinting at sales.
Not sure what hell is that supposed to mean?
Indeed. GCN levels are a low bar, truthfully. Sony didn't ever give up during the PS3's early period, caught up and essentially tied (beat?) Microsoft in the previous generation, and they're beating the brakes off of Microsoft now because of it. If console cycles prove anything, they prove that their extremely unpredictable. Fads, wild swings in popularity, and changes in fortunes are to be expected. This is a marathon, not a sprint. The worst thing Nintendo can do now is give up on Wii U.
Only retail... no digital.
no, retail only. It's written in the first post guys.
It's retail sales only for NPD so boxed copies. Digital copies which make up the majority of PC sales aren't counted and thus NPD isn't a good means to measure PC sales of games
Let me hear the spin.
I don't know, Sony recently hiked it's prices in Canada where the PS4 is now at $449 and the kinectless Xbox One is at $399.
Then, you have the Master Chief Collection out soon which will move consoles. I think th gap will actually narrow quite a bit this year, at least in North America.
It's embarrassing to even have to compare it to the early days of the 360. The 360 didn;t pick up pace for a while and came off the back of a console which sold around 22/23 million worldwide. Xbox is now a huge, established brand and the 360 was one of the highest selling consoles in the history of the country. XB1 should be absolutely wiping the floor with the 360.
yeah.
That's 2 weeks prior vs follow launch, not month-over-month like many people seem to be assuming.
and he says it's selling 4 times the daily rate post launch than in the 2 weeks prior to launch.
That is very specific.
Here's the article the quote was pulled from

Not at 60K sales for an entire month when one of their best selling software titles released.

It means sales rose by 300%. Say sales were 100k week 1 and 400k week 2. The sales have been multiplied by four, but it's only a 300% increase in terms of percentage since you already have a base 100% to work with.

They couldn't with titanfall sale so I doubt they will top june. But we'll seeXbone sales being terrible in May shouldn't surprise anyone seeing as how everyone already knew the price would be cut in June. The real battle starts with June's numbers. X1 should win June or something is terribly, horribly wrong.

It means exactly this:
Who cares, console war begins next month with the pricecut sales
I bet that if we go back to 2007 threads we can find almost the same comment about the PS3.

I know, I was just writing it down like this to point the obvious confusion. It was clarified meanwhile, he thought I was talking about 400% increase (so 5x) and I wasn't.
Anyhow I'm more curious what this 4x means in units sold.
wowLet me hear the spin.
So
This is sort of the problem with MK8 doing well. Because now there's nothing to carry the momentum. I don't mean "Rarghargh they should have had Smash ready in the summer, they are fools," but, like, the next major game is coming out in September (Hyrule Warriors, so your definition of "major" should be adjusted considering what we're talking about). July if you want to count Wii Sports Club, which you probably shouldn't.
This is a problem that could have been easily foreseen and, more to the point, seems to be actively intentional? Like, Hyrule Warriors is coming out over a month after its Japanese release. Nintendo's actively sabotaging their own release schedule here.
They seemingly knew people were going to pick up the system for MK8, they've outright said they were counting on it. So why on earth did they fail to capitalize?
I'm on my third Xbone already. The first one died overnight with a smoking power supply and the second just randomly shut itself off for no reason after two weeks of regular use and never turned back on.RROD confirmed?
100% serious? I had no idea this was an issue.I'm on my third Xbone already. The first one died overnight with a smoking power supply and the second just randomly shut itself off for no reason after two weeks of regular use and never turned back on.
This ones being going fine for a month. *knocks on wood*
