PS4 outsold Xbone for 11 MONTHS, but no, MS was in a very good condition and nothing wrong could happen.. now xbone wins ONE MONTH, and only TWO REGIONS, and WW sales still TOP for PS4 for november even with these super price, free games, free blah blah MS adopted and suddenly sony is might be in big trouble.

anyways congrats MS this is a good one for them - it looks pretty solid for everyone this season.
PS4 still sold about 900K this month, Sony doesn't really care. I expect a price drop to $299 Fall 2015.

I'm not sure where I got the number from in the thread, but I have the Wii U selling 223k in Nov 2013, which would mean it sold 245k last month. That's the number to use with the percentages.

The only way CBOAT didn't "lie" and pull the numbers from his butt, is that the LTD difference between the two consoles as of today is 710K. I don't know if it is, but he/she still deserves a ban for presenting the info that way.
The irony being positive XB1 news badly written ended him/her.

Not until he hits on something. Unfortunately he hasn't brought anything from "his" sources for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't connected to Microsoft anymore. It might be time to re-vet him.
PS4 has no risk of becoming a Vita. Vita could be $50 and still sell like shit.

I know people who are one console owners are disappointed when their console doesn't win one month, but I hope they understand, that's actually the best possible outcome for fans. Competition is great for the consumer, you should be rooting for something like a 55-45 win over all for your machine, still a solid win, but close enough that the companies have to pull out all the stops for your loyalty.

There is also the fact that people who just play Call of Duty year in, year out, make up a larger proportion of 360 users than PS3 users. Those people are going to hold out until third parties inevitably move on from the older systems. The good news is that PS4 started out $200 less than PS3, and Microsoft is not going to be relying on storage upgrades at the same price to keep pace this time. I don't see a scenario where we get to two and half years into these systems being on the market, and the lowest price unit is $349. That was precisely the case when GTA IV came out, and everybody was really surprised (for some reason) at the lack of a hardware bump.
Pricing last gen really made no damn sense for systems that were not (at the time) anything close to market leaders. I've always guessed it was just a consequence of Wii not being able to run third party game engines. The sales of that system never really cost Microsoft or Sony any of the games you would expect to see on their platforms in western markets.
Let them dream. Most people always seem to think that US = The World.
What the hell is this crap? Sony is doing great, probably outselling the XB1 world wide for november (might be close i guess) and making a hell of a lot more money than their competition at this point. They are 700.000 ahead in what used to be their weakest market, and they are millions ahead overall.
They have the price cut strategy intact, and they have a vastly superior game offering for the coming 9 months.
Of course they didn't want to lose by 400k, and yes, MS might build some kind of momentum in the US, but it's not like Sony is without instrumenta to counter this. At the same time the sales difference continues to grow in the rest of the world.
The interesting part will be to see what MS does next. Will they make the price cut to 349 permanent, or will they go back up to 399, and maybe announce a permanent price cut with some bundeling when Sony starts their first party offerings in february?
Interesting times ahead, but Sony is definitley not in trouble when it comes to the PS4. Hell, they just sold more than 800k of them in one market alone. At the same price they launched with (+games).

400k difference? Amazing achievement for MS. Wow. They almost halved the PS4 sales gap in one month. If they get another 200k in December... man... the race starts all over again in the US. However the beginning of 2015 looks bleak for MS exclusives. Sony nailed 2015 with The Order and Bloodborne. MS has what? Nothing.
Eh needs to be more subtle.
That account already messed up its reputation somewhat with that story about the Titanfall beta textures, not because the story was so wrong, but because it went so hard against reason and evidence that it didn't pass the basic smell test.

It really isn't and not for a while yet.
The Xbox brand will have fans waiting to buy at various price points, only a small portion of 360 and ps3 owners actually paid anywhere near launch price and they both had to drop their prices at numerous points in their life to attract new buyers.
The only thing that is currently impressive is how quick MS has had to drop the price and rip apart their vision to attract said buyers. Only time will tell if demand is sustained at this current price point.

Until the 3ds price drop and the memory cards prices, the Vita had a ton of hype. IT could have been salvaged if sony reacted fast early on, but instead, they just abandoned it. They only adjusted prices long after any hope was lost.
I love mine, but wow is it an example of just not reacting to the market changes.

Not that I'm trying to say more should have been done, but the idea of banning someone for such a length of time, especially when it's someone who hardly ever posts, seems somewhat futile.

Same. Unless Xbox One overtakes the PS4 lead worldwide, then and only then will Sony be in trouble imo. I keep reiterating on how long can MS support taking loses for their xbox division before they get in trouble with the share holders. Question now is what will happen when XB1 prices goes back to their regular prices.
I want to come with a criticism towards NeoGAF. Why didn't anyone immediately debunk CBOAT's post? There's a couple of posters who has access to the numbers, why didn't they just inform a mod about the situation? 2000 posts debating a false post, and numerous media sites quoting the post as being true. Something needs to change when it comes to these NPD threads. There's way to much guessing and way to many people with so called "inside" information.
He had a few things in between this and the titanfall blowup.
He was debunked by multiple posters with access to the numbers. Its not their fault they are not immediately on GAF when NPD numbers release.

No, we should be rooting for the consumers to buy the best product. That may or may not mean sales parity but near equal sales doesn't mean competition.
Alright, I took the time to measure the angles in this chart to the best of my ability.
They translate to the following percentages:
Xbone 53.6%
PS4 36.1%
Wii U 10.3%
If Xbone did 1,200k*, then PS4 did 808k and Wii U 230.5k. (Total: 2,238.8k) = Xbone outsold PS4 by 392k
If Wii U did 242k**, then Xbone did 1,259k and PS4 did 848k. (Total: 2,349.5k) = Xbone outsold PS4 by 411k
