Wait so PS4 and X1 sold around 1 million each but Wii U only around 200K??? My god... I'm depressed now. Wii U is not even going to achieve GameCube numbers at the end of the generation WTF?. It's like Nintendo just accepted their fate with the console an all they're doing now is literally just continue supporting it just for the people who already has Wii U and keep promoting it lightly until the next Nintendo console, sighhhh. Excellent for Smash U being at 3rd place between the insane multiplatform madness and competition there.

Happy to see Amiibo did sooooooooooo well. Those toys print money!

It can be anything like Dragon Age vs Halo MCC difference, so he didn't lied. If I was CBOAT and wanted to troll everyone that would be exactly what I would do.

So even if MS is losing money at 350 they should stay at that price. Works better than $400 for them.

Sony is so PS centric these days they'll never drop price. Ms needs to maintain a price advantage.

Given how many XLs our store alone has gotten since Black Friday, I suspect their reserves are far bigger than anyone expects. I don't think they ever really knew how to handle the soft demand last holiday season, and they're now paying for it with the reluctance with the New 3DS on the horizon. They can pretend that it doesn't exist, but consumers know better.

Congrats to the Xbone, wonder if Sony responds with a price cut of their own or if MS decides to make the price change permanent next year.

Sony have a new bundle with one free game (from a choice of four recent releases) for $399 just launched.

And the first two weeks of November would have had a boost from October buyers holding off after MS announced the november offer, plus the extra free game. december has no built up demand from the previous month, $20 more expensive, and one less game.

I could see them trying to go for it if they can, PR-battle! Lol

Also, sucks not to see the game of the year on the list. Hopefully DA:I sold a lot on digital.

I'm not entirely sure why people are shocked that the majority of Microsoft's sales were made immediately following the price cut and Sony caught back up during BF.

Sony had no offers those first few weeks of December and consumers do most of their shopping on BF.

The biggest impact of a price cut is usually felt immediately (it's why this bode's so badly for MS)

Sony also had a pretty nice deal on BF.

When more consumers are out shopping, they are going for a PS4 over an Xbox One.

These results don't really surprise me at all. But I was expecting more tilt in one direction or the other.

Congrats to the Xbone, wonder if Sony responds with a price cut of their own or if MS decides to makes the price change permanent next year.

I went through and looked at all the games coming out in 2015 that are at least confirmed now. The PS4/PC has a drastic lead in games announced so far for next year. It's not just old school "indies" either.

Microsoft, you want to really compete? Make some new IPs, bring back IPs people want (Conker, MechAssault <-- that one's for me lol), make Halo 5 as magical as Halo:CE and Halo 2, and continue not using bad buzzwords like "cloud". If this 7k-10k difference is it, you guys really need to fight with great PR and buzz.

I knew Halo wouldn't chart as high as people were expecting. "BUT IT'S HALO" doesn't mean as much in 2014 as did in 2007, especially for a port collection.
