Hi, nib95, thanks for the positive feedback!
The best-selling title of the October 2015 U.S. Games Industry Report, Microsoft's Console Software SKU 'Halo 5: Guardians,' sold a combined total of 935K including all Bundle units.
02. Halo 4 (360) Microsoft - 3.2M (Reach and Halo 3 did 3.3 million, but with about half or less the days. I'm unclear on if this counts bundles.)
Do most retailers pay up front for consoles ?? If so then yeah I can see MS saying 400mil revenue. If not then it's sold through as they'd be releasing incorrect data that could lead to manipulation of its market price and that's a massive no no for the SEC

I think they do.
So is 1200k for Halo 5 actually considered bad? Or disappointing only because of the drop compared to older Halo games?
Surely MS will turn a profit on the game with the 1200k sold in the first 5 days of October? Oct 27th to Oct 31st? And they will sell more copies of the game in Nov and Dec, plus add the money made from the Req packs.
Just trying to get a feel for whether or not the game is legitimately successful, ignoring any disappointment/failure when compared to previous Halos - did the game make a profit?

Where is this 1.2m number coming from?

Does the report say how many halo bundles were sold? Thanks and welcome to the neo gaf. I'm the jack the nipper.

935k + 25% digital i suppose?
From Hoo-doo's post on page 60 - basically taking the number 935k and then adding the estimated number of digital copies sold.
So if George can't back up his data is that a banable offense? Still learning my way around here...
And where is the 25% digital coming from?
Didn't read every post, so maybe I missed it.
Or is it just an assumption?
We need assassins creed numbers surely? Halo might have taken one to the knee but it looks like ass creed might have shot itself in the face.
Yes, you can't pretend to have insider info if you don't have the evidence to prove that you're in a position to obtain such info.So if George can't back up his data is that a banable offense? Still learning my way around here...

taking one to the knee
Hi there, travisbickle. Hope you're doing well.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'taking one to the knee,' but I would like to tell you that in the October 2015 U.S. Games Industry Sales NPD Report, Ubisoft's new Console Software SKU and best-selling October 2015 title 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate,' sold 391K units.
This is down significantly from the previous 'Assassin's Creed Unity,' but please keep in mind that the previous title launched in the Holiday Season (November 11th, 2014) and it was included as part of a prominent Xbox One bundle.
Perhaps a more apt comparison is to Ubisoft's 2013 iteration 'Assassin's Creed: Black Flag,' which released on October 29th, 2013.
In the October 2013 U.S. Games Industry report, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag sold 620K units in five days on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 launched, while in the November 2013 Report when the titles launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the title sold 1.2 million units.
It is unlikely that Assassin's Creed Syndicate will leach the lofty heights of its predecessors.

So What about Uncharted?
I imagine it is at 150k or so.
If the number is real, MS need to make more REQ packs!
Damn, AC Syndicate did much worse than I thought. Unity seems to have really damaged the reputation of the franchise.
Actually that is true. You're asking for the wrong game when there are more interesting titles such as Dragon Quest Heroes or Tales of Zestiria
