We're talking about America too though. EA's marketing and branding is over the top and soccer games just started getting pretty popular here.

Oh yeah and this was FIFA's first year with the women's soccer teams right? So that makes a bit of sense given the popularity of the US Women's soccer team. Even still though... I can't help but feel a bit disappointed.

It's poetic to see both dancing games on 3ds and Vita get 24k where the other less prominent games get 10k respectively.

Terrible sales no doubt.

Well there are DD sales number to take into account .
I not certain about 3ds but Vita suppose to have a high DD consumer base .
Unless i remembering wrong .

Yes, sorry.

Any chance you can confirm my math here? Is this about right?

Well if we are correct about the gap being 810k then that would mean a gap increase of 52k this month. Sooooo if if a gap of 8.29% on the chart is = 52k then that would mean

WiiU = 76k
XB1 = 250k
PS4 = 302k

Its difficult to be exact when we are unsure of this month's WiiU figures or gap numbers from last month

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
miku ~ 24
sk2 ~ 10

The only comparison reference I have for Miku (thanks to creamsugar as always) is Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F, launched on PS3 on August 27th, both retail and digitally: it was at around 17k at December 2013.

For Senran Kagura, instead, IIRC, the first one was launched on the eShop only, and 2 has just one retail SKU, at 49.99, correct?

Damn, EA with that FIFA license. PES is the better game but without the FIFA license, can't do much in sales. Glad EA is at least bombing in NBA live. Competition is good, so hope the NFL realizes an exclusive agreement isn't the way to go.

Last September was a huge month, so the decline is to be expected.

This is true but it's also true that XB1 is 50$ cheaper than last year and SCEA did a blatant miscalculation in not bringing the MGSV bundle in the US. Destiny TTK sales were not particularly strong.
I expected a stronger month overall.

UK: FIFA 988k, PES<30k (debut weeks)

yeah ok, instead of 40:1 it's 30:1, so much better

UK has always been too similar to the US in sales trends for my liking. Dammit. PES deserves so much more sales. But I suppose with every major YouTuber (KSI, Sidemen etc, who are all British) all playing Fifa, the younger generation here are constantly being indirectly marketed.

TTK did massive business. Its just it was predominantly digital which won't translate to NPD

TTK did huge on the digital side which I expected it to do. It's an expansion. Now not having the TPP bundle in the US was a mistake. They could've made some coin off that.

pes needs to get back some good will .
Last gen really hurt the IP but what do you expect from konami .

UK's a mini-USA, other European countries appreciate PES, I hope!

I mean, sure, PES does a lot better in Europe, but so does FIFA, so complaining about the relative sales here doesn't make much sense because it's just lower across the board here

The NFL loves its exclusive agreement (in fact, they love exclusive agreements in general), and IIRC weren't very happy with 2K releasing NFL 2K5 for $20.

Edit: And even if somehow 2K were to get the license to make a football game again, it wouldn't be the same people that made 2K5, so you have no guarantee that it'd be anywhere near that quality. Hell, I don't even know how many people that make 2K's last football game (All Pro 2K8) even work at the company anymore. The only real guarantee you'd have is that it wouldn't be Madden.

Yes but NPD sales are more correlated to new users while digital sales are mostly made of upgraders, so NPD gives a better idea of how many new users Destiny gained and how many bundles it sold.
In this sense sales were not particularly strong, for Sony there was probably a bigger market with the MGSV bundle.

Looks like solid Mario Maker numbers! And a solid hw bump too, all things considered.

Hm... any updated LTDs of older titles? Curious about the Wii U, since someone posted about Wii U software sales being a bit better than usual in terms of legs?

Will nobody confirm our figures?!?! Normally we wouldnt need to ask but this month is odd in that we dont have a base figure to go from that is 100% confirmed to be accurate. Some sort of affirmation or refutation would be extremely helpful. Kthx.

Hmmm, don't know how NISA feels about that. I do imagine a lot of the sales were digital though, so that could be something.

Trigger Happy Havoc sold 13.5k in its first month, so I think the result is fine. Keep in mind that NPD doesn't track sales from NISA's online store either.

OT: Seems like decent numbers for Miku and Persona too.

Seems like everyone else is mostly focused on the software sales to worry about the hardware sales. I just have one thing on my mind; my predictions are screwed either way.
