In UK was a bigger split, right?
Well that's the split inc last gen so if you take that additional 8% out then it's probably the same if not a nose more in the US.

Why on earth are PSN gift cards up so high up on the list? Do most people who don't want to put their CC info on PSN buy these?
Ok, now, for the hardware...
If Donny is right, then, 85k for Wii U should still be ok, and we have:
PS4: 340k
XB1: 281k
Which should be fine... both down YOY too, and seem about right with the "near" 110% increase for Wii U fom 42,500 of August.
Am i missing something?
I see. That makes sense. It's the easiest way for international customers to add credit to their alternate US accounts.
Any examples of those game, and how much did they sell?It was for niche releases that still had a lot of choices on PS3 (while PS4 was a lackluster in the same market segment).
Zhuge said it can be more than 550k in another twitter. But its way higher than what ZhugeEX tweeted that PS4 + XB1 ~ 550K..
That's... low... i mean... less than Metal Gear Solid IV!? Didn't expect this.
But its way higher than what ZhugeEX tweeted that PS4 + XB1 ~ 550K..
So even though it was MGSV month and even with the new TTK bundle, XBO still managed to stay very close to PS4 (<= 60K). That's very impressive.
With the magic of SteamSpy, we no longer need to wonder.
http://steamspy.com/app/287700
Owners: 744,057 ± 22,998
750k-ish. Do note that this is worldwide sales and not US only.
Btw Steam sales alone account for almost the same number as MGSV total in NA.
PC is becoming a huge market

Thanks!
Looks like the game did great on Steam.
Amazing. Fuck crossgen. Let the PS3 and 360 die already instead of trying to squeeze every last bit of profit out of them.V: 4 69%, 1 23%
total < 800
To be more on topic : MGS V is 34% of US owners, so 484K units sold on Steam (Canada not included which is 5%).
I'm not sure I understand the math here.
D < 400K with bundle (PS4)
D > 540K without bundle
4: 40%, 1: 42%
We actually tried asking cream several times earlier, but never got a reply. The problem is there are currently two estimations and both contradict some of info we have. If the Wii U really sold 85K, that would mean the gap between the PS4 and XB1 is 59K, like in your calculations. However, according to cream, the cumulative gap between the two right now is 862K. In the August NPD, the gap was ~810K, so that would mean an increase of only 52K. That is a contradiction right there. Also, Zhuge said ~550K for both combined.Ok, now, for the hardware...

I thought Amazon was undefeated?

On the other hand, if we take cream and Zhuge's info, the PS4 sold 300K and the XB1 sold 248K, with the Wii U selling 75K. Now this contradicts Nintendo's statement of "110% increase", which should be 85K-89K. The problem is we don't know which estimation is the more accurate one.
D < 400K with bundle (PS4)
D > 540K without bundle
4: 40%, 1: 42%
My maths says XB1 ~227K to PS4s <400K total. For anyone who thinks sales are close.
Yep, the problem with this NPD is that Microsoft refused to give any numbers and we have a few sources contradicting Nintendo's PR statement either way. I hope someone will provide a definitive answer. That's true. But if we use 75k for Wii U, then, the Nintendo PR is just too smashed.
That's should mean only 76% MOM increase, compared to the "near" 110%... and can't be.
I can see 100% increase or so, but if was under 100%, then Nintendo was not gonna say over 100%.
That's why i think we seriusly can't say Wii U is 75k.

So < 1.2 million according to data. Wonder what the people gloating about it doing 5 million easy are feeling, ha ha.V: 4 69%, 1 23%

TTK bundle close to 200k? Amazing.D < 400K with bundle (PS4)
D > 540K without bundle

UK has always been too similar to the US in sales trends for my liking. Dammit. PES deserves so much more sales. But I suppose with every major YouTuber (KSI, Sidemen etc, who are all British) all playing Fifa, the younger generation here are constantly being indirectly marketed.
Sad thing is they will take PES and MGSV underperforming as a sign to leave console games rather than they are a crappy publisher. Also PES has been embarrassing for a number of years. Literally ridiculed. It's taken Konami way too long fix it.
I don't believe this, I haven't contributed to NPD since becoming a 'New ps4' user because I been all digital and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only new user to do so.Yes but NPD sales are more correlated to new users while digital sales are mostly made of upgraders, so NPD gives a better idea of how many new users Destiny gained and how many bundles it sold.
In this sense sales were not particularly strong, for Sony there was probably a bigger market with the MGSV bundle.
TTK bundle close to 200k? Amazing.
TTK PS4: near 400k with bundles
TTK PS4: near 216k without bundles
That means over 180k PS4 TTK bundles.
Hmm. I understood Creams message that total sales of Destiny expansion is around 940k (bundled copies + non bundled) +digital ofc.
I didn't think he knew digital?
I read it as
PS4 version total (bundle + non-bundle) < 400K
PS4 - bundle + XB1 + 360 + PS3 > 540K
XB1 (42% of 540K) ~227K
Total sales ~756K
Yeah... that said, i think we can use two 2 result?
In my book the result are 340k PS4, 281k XB1, and 85k.
But i understand who doubt it.
Sad thing is they will take PES and MGSV underperforming as a sign to leave console games rather than they are a crappy publisher.
Oh well, glad they are gonna lose money specially for insurance.
Nintendo has never exaggerated that much in PR's.
These numbers are the best so far.
I didn't think he knew digital?
I read it as
PS4 version total (bundle + non-bundle) < 400K
PS4 - bundle + XB1 + 360 + PS3 > 540K
XB1 (42% of 540K) ~227K
Total sales ~756K
My brain hurts.I didn't think he knew digital?
I read it as
PS4 version total (bundle + non-bundle) < 400K
PS4 - bundle + XB1 + 360 + PS3 > 540K
XB1 (42% of 540K) ~227K
PS4 - bundle (40% of 540K) ~216K
Total sales ~724K
Yeah we and Cream(?) wont know digital, I added that there. I may be wrong with my assumptions as I see:
Bundle as PS4 + game <400k
Nonbundle = game in all platforms 540k where PS4 is 40%
-> <400k + 40% of 540k = 216k copies
Total PS4 game = <400k + 216k = <616k copies sold to PS4
^^
Funny how differently one can see numbers (Iam prolly wrong)
He wouldn't write "with bundle", if the <400k was only the bundle. So it's <400k for bundle + game, retail only of course.
V: 4 69%, 1 23%
total < 800
I expect FF and KH to be even more slanted towards PS4.
