Nuclear war to put MS on top next gen?

You know, recently, North Korea has demonstrated the ability to launch a ballistic missile as far as Tokyo. Not just that, but tensions have been increasing between Japan and China, due to a Japanese student textbook that neglects to mention Japanese atrocities in WWII. This could end up leading even to a full-on nuclear war in eastern Asia, including Japan.

So, if Japan ended up being bombarded by nuclear explosives during E3, would that put Microsoft on top next generation?

jesus lets hope Gozilla can save us - i think Mothra is on holiday in the Vulcan Nebula at the moment, but Mechazilla might lend a hand.

A nuclear war is about as useful to China and Japan as a pair of luminous strides are to a burglar...

there'll be lots of posturing, but i don't see a nuclear strike coming.

Especially since a nuclear war with Japan and China would mean nuclear war with China and the US.

Microsoft would be just as radiated.

Ok here's how I see it, if North Korea destroys Japan with nuclear weapons, South Korea is gone too, so we can count SCEI and SCEK out. But Kutaragi would likely have left the country before the war seeing how Stringer is now in-charge and he's looking out for the company. Nope, MS will still not be on top. Sorry. :D
 
But maybe Kutaragi will defect to MS and with his PS3 plans, we will see a Super Xenon PS3 Blu Ray super console capable of allowing him to rule the world with Bill Gates :D

But what it he was irradiated, so that it was MS versus mutant Kutaragi? Could the Xbox 360 stand up to the power of his laser eyes and acidic spittle, as he rampaged across the E3 showfloor?

sorry, nuking during E3 you say? I spose if Japan was obliterated there'd be a moment of silence during which microsoft bought the rights to every former japanese property, it would be interesting, EA debuts a new console, truly it would be a great day for the consumer

Nope, theres no way MS could beat a new breed of Japanese atomic powered super-developers, able to work longer hours than any member of EAs staff, WITHOUT WHIPPINGS. It will be the dawn of a new age of Japanese dominance in videogames, it'll be hard to tell when the new age starts as Japan will probably keep it under wraps, so we'll have to keep an eye out for people with terrible skin disorders (maybe leigons caused by radiation poisoning) and no hair or an over the top wig. Also they may be sensitive to bright lights so they'll probably wear sunglasses all the time.

It's arguable that this is both the worst and best thread ever made, and the polar nature of it is possibly going to cause a collapse of the space-time continuum.
 
I thought it was common knowledge that in the event of a nuclear war... nobody will win.

Dropping a nuke on japan is an act of war, not the entire war.
 
I've been on video game sites for almost 10 years now, and been posting on and off at Gaming Age for like 4 or 5 years, and I think this might be the stupidest "fictional" scenario I've ever read.

If there was nuclear war, who gives a flying fuck about video games? :lol
 
I'm usually not one to step into a thread for the single purpose of commenting on the sheer stupidity of the first post, but yeah, I'll make an exception.

If the first thing you think about when you read stories on growing nuclear tensions in Asia is "Wow, this will really fuck the PS3. GO XBOX 360!", you need to seriously reconsider your priorities in life.

Mr. High-and-Mighty thinks he's BETTER than us! Oh noes! I wonder why he even posts here if he has more important things to do than to debate how a nuclear war would affect the console wars! :lol
