Ha, yeah maybe I should.

I noticed that most of the ones available online are knockoffs too. You can only get the proper cups direct on the nutri ninja site (they have the measurement levels / embossing on the side).

Yeah, make sure they have 'Ninja' embossed on the sides.

Don't forget the protip for blended drinks when your ninja arrives: frozen foods are your friends. I buy bananas in bulk, slice them into 1" chunks (with the skins left on, naturally) and freeze those bastards. Chuck in a couple of cubes of frozen spinach, a handful of frozen forest fruits, your frozen bananas, some Greek yoghurt and/or milk and you're good to go. Two minutes from start to finish.

And don't forget the secret ingredient, less than £2 a packet from Lidl:

Just made a couple of recipes from the Ninja book, both very tasty. The ultra blend didn't quite get the job done on the second one though, had some small date bits left over, but I can't say I was complaining too loudly as they made for a delicious finish.

Was surprised that I couldn't even taste the 60g of Spinach that I'd crammed into the cup. Who knew healthy could be so tasty?

So how bad is it to eat a shitload of almonds? I'm talking about two handfuls after a meal.

Disclaimer, I do a lot of strength training and exercise.

I eat natural almonds, no salt or honey or roast. Its goddamn delicious.

I've recently changed my diet slightly since I noticed I was gaining a tiny bit of weight. I'm 5'8 and I find my "perfect" weight to be around 155. I started eating too much healthy foods and snacking throughout the day. Here's what my typical day used to look like:

Breakfast: 2 yolks and 5 whites, 2 pieces of bread.

Snack: 2-3 hand fulls of Trailmix

Lunch: 1-2 burgers, no bread.

Snack: 2-3 hand fulls of Trailmix

Dinner: 1-2 pieces of chicken or fish with broccoli, 1 piece of bread and a salad.

Snack before bed: Again 2-3 hand fulls of Trailmix

I pretty much cut out the snacking completely and adjusted my diet as follows, i'd like to know what you guys think:

Breakfast: 2 yolk, 5 whites

Lunch: Protein shake

Dinner: 2 pieces of chicken with some broccoli or another Protein shake.

I'm not very hungry anymore. I found myself to be starving for trail mix and other snacks but ever since I cut it out, it's been pretty nice. I've been able to keep my strength at the gym and still do quite a bit of cardio.

I might be missing something, but that looks like under 1,000 kcal and almost no fat... you're going to really fuck yourself up if you stick with it for any period of time.

Have you tried grinding an avocado pit in your Ninja yet, PT? The taste is quite bitter but they make a good addition to an appropriate smoothie. They are crammed with antioxidants.

You should try chocolate pudding
Unsweetened Cocoa
Stevia
Ice
And
Avocado.... Which gives that pudding texture

One avacodo = 4-5 tbsp of cocoa and depends how sweet you want it

Weigh out your portions to see how many calories you're taking in.

Banana peels and avocado pits? I think I would pass on the parts of a plant even wild animals don't eat. From living in So Cal with people that own horses I've heard to keep them away from avocado trees because parts like the pit are poisonous.

Interesting philosophy.

Do some research?

If it helps you blender snobs, I just had a recipe that didn't have sweetener, and thus I didn't sweeten it. :p

It even had kale and spinach in it.

Mascot definitely right about needing the big cup for that Ninja. Couple of things I've made now have got stuck because I crammed all the ingredients in.

Yeah, the only NutriBullet cup I ever use for blending is the 32oz. Even if I'm blending a much smaller volume I find the extra space helps the ingredients move around. I only ever use the smaller cups after decanting a smoothie in if I'm drinking it on the go.

Crazy decision for Ninja not to include the bigger cup in the UK version, especially after NB added the big cup to the Pro version as standard.

Import a case of them. Make your fortune.

I may try this for a dessert/snack one day.

So I'm 170-172 lbs and 6 foot 4. Lost about 140 pounds over the last 3-4 years. I used to run almost every day, but I've been dealing with a leg injury that makes it impossible now. Right now I'm just maintaining.

All I really have left are love handles and some belly fat. Nothing major. I'm sedentary for the majority of the day, and this leg injury makes any kind of workout painful.

Daily food:

Breakfast - 2-3 egg whites and sliced ham, coffee (with a TBSP or two of skim milk)
Snack 1 - A serving of plain greek yogurt with a 1/4 cup of Bear Naked granola
Snack 2 - Banana
Lunch - 2 pieces of baked talapia, green beans and less than a 1/2 cup of brown rice
Snack 3 - Apple
Dinner - Spinach salad with tuna, sliced ham/turkey and lemon juice

I'll snack on roasted almonds and mixed nuts when at home. Less than a serving, usually. Sometimes I'll add a half of an avocado to my salad or lunch.

Friday evening or Saturday is usually when I have my cheat meal. It varies from just some candy, ice cream, Chinese food or a burger. I'll skip the snacks or even lunch during the weekend if I know I'm going to eat poorly.

Also, I really enjoy drinking beer. At most, I'll have 3 a week. I wish I could drink more, but I control the craving. So I'll spread them out throughout the week. One Friday, another Sunday and then some time during the week.

I always get a little worried when I do drink a beer. Since I'm not running anymore, I think it'll make me fat, even if I'm eating healthy and not overeating.

Any reason why you ditch the egg yolk in the morning? Personally I wouldn't recommend that, since yolk is way more nutritious than egg white.
Is it because you want to limit your fat intake? Tilapia and tuna are relatively low fat, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yep. I'll have a yolk or two every now and then, actually.

Don't stress the beer too much, just remember that beer is basically like drinking a full fat coke.

http://getdrunknotfat.com/

It also interferes with the way your body burns fat, which isn't ideal if you're trying to lose weight... as unless you're quite odd, you most likely want that weight to be lost from your fat reserves. But yeah, in moderation don't worry too much. I know pro bodybuilders that still drink a couple of times a week and they have no problem looking cut.

Hey dudes, need help rounding out my diet. My current routine:

(7:45 AM) Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon
(9:00 AM) Coffee - sugar and cream (no real measurement of those, but probably more than I should have)
(Noon) Lunch - Luncheon meat sandwich - 2 slices of bread, 2 servings of whatever meat, mayo, butter, sometimes mustard, sometimes cheese
(7:00'ish PM) Dinner - 1 Chicken Breast, salad mix w/ a dressing

Obviously this is not enough, and I typically get super hungry late afternoon when I get home from work (around 6) which means I usually eat something I shouldn't at that time. What's something I can take to work with minimal/no prep time that'll help me feel more full?

I'm also trying to limit my carb intake. So basically, the bread I have with my sandwich at lunch is the only big carbs I eat for the day,

If you don't want to feel hungry a couple of hours later, don't eat a sandwich.

Do you have a refrigerator/microwave at work? Make something ahead of time and bring it in. A big egg scramble with some kind of meat or cheese + spinach, onions, peppers or whatever vegetables you fancy can be a good one. I'll often do that since it's so easy, tasty, and filling, and you can throw on hot sauce or something if you want to spice it up.

Also, cut that sugar from your coffee, man. Drink it black or just with cream. You'll get used to the lack of sweetness quickly. If you must have it, then maybe switch to some artificial sweetener, but I wouldn't recommend it.

You were eating way too much trail mix which is probably what was making you gain weight, but that new diet of yours sounds like a concentration camp meal plan. That's like 700 cals

Awesome starting tomorrow I start an aggressive Fat Loss protocol. I have exactly 3 months until I leave for Europe this summer and I plan to lose 15 lbs. I currently weight 195 at 5'10. I would like to get to 180 or maybe 175 if it is possible.

Macros are

160g Protein
160g Carbs
60g Fat

I will start incorporating a Refeed day every Sunday. My training is weightlifting M/W/F and light cardio every other day except Sunday, that will be my rest day. I have done this before with great success but felt a bit limited to the recipes that I knew.

Anyone got any good recipes for chicken breasts?

Those chicken cubes sounds like a good idea. I need more ways to sneak more protein into my day.

like seriously, wtf. i understand if you're trying to cut out some carbs and try to get 60-80 grams of carbs for a day you workout but you're literally shooting yourself in the foot. the protein is good for building muscle but when you take in no carbs, you barely got any energy. seriously reconsider this diet, its hurting you more than you think arken2121.

Edit:

lol, the post i read was somehow edited from the original. oh god, fake edit, it was the actual diet. dude seriously, trails mix are not the answer. you can have oatmeal in the morning with your eggs for crying out loud! have some milk! get some yams or potatoes in your system! did you not read the other fitness thread we have?

Anyone got any good recipes for chicken breasts?

I like having chicken masala and chicken parm. as long as you count the carbs and fat, it should be alright. also, i find it odd that you're taking in the same amount of carbs and fat, are you bulking?

Milk in the protein shake plus broccoli equals about 40 grams of carbs. He should add another serving of broccoli or a carrot.

yeah this is my go to when I get tired of eating chicken I go curry style
that coconut milk mmmmmm

I'm all about the curry, though I don't tend to go for the creamier / fattier sauces. I like mine in the tomato based ones.

You may want to consider the same, as you're hunting for antioxidants. No evidence that they are healthy in high doses.

I'm puzzled - where exactly did I advocate high doses of anything? Even something as basic as water is harmful in high doses.

And furthermore, where did I say I was "hunting for antioxidants"? I mentioned that avocado pits contain antioxidants. I didn't say I was sniping them from a belltower.

ILovebish and other Keto friends:

How much sorbitol can you take before you get booted out of keto? Does it even get absorbed? I get varying answers, and all I know is I end up shitting out pure liquid, so I'm assuming it doesn't get absorbed and I stay in ketosis, but everyone is a little different.

Yes I ate the whole box of sugar-free wagers.

Thanks for the reciples, just looked them up and they look delicious. No, I am on a cut. I forgot to mention that I also eat 2 fruits which ups my Carb amount by around 30-35 grams.

holy hell, that makes a lot of sense. do you weigh 160 pounds? cause if you weigh more, i suggest you up your protein count. i dont know what your regimen, being that it may be intense, so maybe your carb count is perfect for you but id cut it back by 30 carbs (or a fruit) so your cut goes a lot smoother. how much are you trying to lose?

Did you actually give up on exercise for your cut? Because again, at best the diet you wrote down has no more than 1,000kcal in it, and almost no fat. You're going to be losing muscle left, right and centre.

At what times do you eat? 4/5/6 pm?

I usually have 2 or 3 cups of coffee through out the day and an apple, helps me survive until 5 pm.

Gorge at noon. Top it off around 4 or 5. It's pretty simple for me.
