There's no doubt in my mind that these custom cards won't show up to order within at least 2 weeks, Nvidia obviously making a big deal of the official launch, and all partners have a founders edition, definite block going on here.

I've just upgraded to a 1440p monitor and can't wait to upgrade the GPU. Do we think there's a big difference between UHD and QHD? I could have got a 4K UHD monitor for the same price but don't think GPUs are quite there for 60fps gaming.

Yes you need twice the GPU power - gpu which gives you 60 fps in 1440p translates into 30fps for 4K

I agree that the launch is seriously bad but we do know what's launching today as it's pretty much the same which is launching every time - the reference cards aka "Founder's Edition" cards.

I think i misread what the reviewers were stating, they were saying the Nividia FE wasnt the only ones launching, but I think they meant the non Nvidia FEs now. But honestly this is exactly my point, I have been following the launch and I am still confused on day of release lol. Bad enough it was a paper launch, then the FE BS, and we still dont know crap for AIB cards.

Well, we know quite a lot on AIB cards, including even some specs for EVGA SC card. I think that we'll know when they'll come to market today as well. It's weird... Newegg.ca had all the FE cards as "Out of Stock" for like a week now but the whole "GTX 1000" section straight up dissapeared this morning.
