From the responses around the world this show has probably done about 11 buys.

Which is a shame, since it beat the shit out of anything the WWE's put out in years.

(waits for the "that's not saying much! lolz!" reply...)

Haha. But it really is true. TNA, or TNJ (Total Nonstop Jarrett) as I like to call it, has had it's moments, but you simply cannot be a success in this industry if Vince Russo is associated with your promotion in any way. The X Division is awesome, but everything else sucks. AJ Styles is the only other guy they really put over, and even so he's back in the X division, much like Benoit was the world champ at SS and then was in the opening match at the very next PPV. They had a chance to put Raven over but didn't because Jarrett didn't feel like it. And that 6-sided ring has GOT to go. It's just so goofy looking.

I have a hard time getting excited about TNA since it forces Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo down my throat on a constant basis. My other problems with TNA are that they have a lot of older wrestlers I could give two shits about, the six-sided ring, shit redneck fans, that yelling moron announcer with the same color tie as his shirt, and a lot of the young guys who can't really wrestle. There are some cool high spots, but most of the guys are pretty green. After watching TNA I just really, really start to miss ECW. Especially seeing Shane Douglas looking like a fucktard in his role as a suck-up backstage interviewer.

I'll be getting Survivor Series next weekend.

Jesus, that main event was absolutely horrible. Aside from the obscene over-booking, the match itself was sloppy-as-hell. Seriously, Jeff Hardy need to take about two years off, rest up and study some old 70's wrestling to learn some semblance of psychology. Jeff Jarrett, on the other hand, just needs to die.

The only other somewhat passable matches were the gauntlet and the AJ/Petey match. The guantlet itself was a spotfest but it certainly had some fun moments. The AJ/Petey match was a bit short but was still pretty decent.

Sure, it was probably better than anything the WWE has put out recently but that's not exactly saying much.

If you haven't before, you should really check out Ring of Honor. They have all the best parts of TNA and none of the garbage ones.

Getting ready to watch my Scamble Cage Melee DVD right now. I'd much rather spend 40 bucks a month (two 3 hour DVDs) on high quality wrestling than 30-some bucks for 1 PPV that might have a couple decent matches on it.

I really cant wait for this weekend's DVD with Liger to be out. Thats really the biggest down side to ROH. You are always about 6 weeks behind...well unless you are one of the weirdo's who still orders tapes.

Overall an entertaining PPV, but I agree the main event was a cluster fuck of epic proportions. Didn't see the old NWO gimmick coming a mile away did ya?

As for Macho Man, he'll be ok if he serves a purpose. The guy can probably still go, at least better than Hogan. He can talk as well.

I don't know, I'm just getting a weird WCW in a mexican ring vibe out of them now....

I attend ROH everytime they come to Philly. The best wrestling experience of my life was at ROH last year at Final Battle 2003..got to see Satoshi Kojima, Kaz Hayashi and GREAT MUTA in person. What an amazing night! Ring of Honor is the BEST promotion in America.

If ROH ever comes to N.E. Ohio I'm there....

As it stands I've just got the local indy here that does a few big arena shows a year in Canton with a few legends at every show.

As it stands I've met all these guys:
Hulk Hogan
Bret Hart
Jimmy Snuka
Mick Foley
Hacksaw Duggan

the one show I missed had this line up:
Road Warriors (last wrestling date before Hawk passed)
Sabu
Dusty Rhodes
Jerry Lawler
AJ Styles
Terry Funk

While the indy here has some REALLY good talen, they usually rely on a spot filled match. While great, I like my wrestling more technical. Japanese style.

I could have met Foley and Steamboat in Chicago a few weeks ago but we I still had a 3 and half hor drive ahead of me and I'd gotten up early that day. So me and my bro didnt bother sticking around after the show.

I really hope Heenan signs on for a few more shows after his dabate with Cornette. I'd definately head back to Chicago in Feb if he were gonna be there.
