Hope he stays motivated and brings that workrate up, at least for the big events. He should be able to pull good matches out of most of that SD roster. At the very least I wanna see him get another go-around with AJ. Try to top their WK match!

MY GOD, PEOPLE. HIS MATCHES ARE EVEN BETTER THAN HIS ENTRANCES. GO WATCH THEM!

Nakamura-Ibushi
Nakamura-Styles
Nakamura-Tanahashi
Nakamura-Ishii
Nakamura-Okada

WATCH THIS SHIT! SERIOUSLY!

The match with him and ibushi was pretty good!

That suplex off the ropes was nutso!

God I cant wait for the Miz version of the Nakamura entrance. Gonna be dope, as is this feud in general.

But I'm kinda sad because it means Miz is losing another feud. Dammit put Miz in the title picture already. He deserves it.

If Miz does an impersonation of him that would be incredibly corny, he doesn't need to fall into the shtick of copying everyone feuds with

I don't follow wrestling, but for those who watched the show, why did Nakamura interrupt Miz like that? Is that how they insert feuds into the storyline?

I think the person he is feuding with is gonna be traded from RAW next week. So this week it was just appearance and dark match for him. Mostly for the crowd.

Or

He is feuding with Miz but the next Smackdown ppv isn't for a while so they are gonna stretch their feud for a while with small segment build ups.

Indeed. When he was here in Japan, AJ looked frigging awesome. Something out of an anime. Japanese girls were going absolutely nuts for him:

AJ, I'm not surprised that people are calling you a soccer mom. Get your hair done by a Japanese hair stylist! haha.

Looks just like a newer VF character when I first saw him. I've wondered how Nak would maintain his hair in the US after that. Another reason for Kenny Omega to stay put!

for as brilliant as Nakamura just is naturally, the Miz
's character
truly believes he is twice that cool and talented and successful, so it's pretty smart booking tbh

AJ STYLE vs NAKAMURA's match was epic as F**K! It was held as Match of the Year and put both AJ Styles and Nakamura to the height of everything.

Now, everyone must hope and pray like no tomorrow for AJ Styles NOT to go to RAW, especially as both Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles (along with Jim Ross, Stone Cold and tonnes of other top name people) want to do a Wrestle Kingdom 10 feud rematch. They want to do a true Wrestlemania delivery. Man, I seriously hope everyone realise how insane that feud will be... It will be insane!

If I can wish anything to make that feud even more epic, I want them to Main Event the next Wrestlemania (or at least Summer Slam) for the WWE Championships (one that AJ must win) and - a person can dream - AJ Styles uses his I AM I AM persona (please keep the hair but get it done by an Asian hair stylist like when he was here in Japan) complete with his original awesome I am I am theme song and the debut of his ultimate finisher, Spinal Tap. of course, the Spinal Tap must only be used on selected individuals and key big event moments:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4X5OeC34eM - Ultimate finisher, "Spinal Tap"

When was this match? Japanese PPV?

Do face vs face or heel vs heel storylines/matches ever end up being effective? Or is a more orthodox formula usually better?

He didn't interrupt him, Miz was in the process of leaving the ring when Nak showed up. What this was, was supposed to be a message, one major star is leaving (John Cena) but a new one has arrived.

Disappointed he's not on raw since that's where AJ is heading. Nakamura vs AJ/Brock would be fucking dope as hell

Like as good as smackdown is on the writing and booking front I could barely tune into it these past few months because of their awful roster where we had to endure a bunch of Wyatt family and Orton shit. Can't stand any of them. Aj and miz/Maryse and the women were great tho at least

Also it's time they gave miz another title run. Him and Maryse have been doing Gods work with their heel stuff. And...whew at Maryse btw in that Bella outfit btw.

When was this match? Japanese PPV?

Yes. They fought at Wrestle Kingdom 10 (4th Jan 2016). Wrestle Kingdom is Japanese's Wrestlemania and it takes place annually at the Tokyo Dome. It is in that even where wrestlers go into insane Hard Style performances.

Here is the bout and promo:

Thank me later!

Oh yeah.. SHINSUKE FANS! LEARN TO SAY "YEAOOH", PLEASE. Heh, especially all those that will see him on Smackdown.

Tons of people are pushing Vince to change his mind including JR. AJ need to stay on Smackdown.

Brock vs Nakamura already happened on NJPW many many years ago... It wasn't a great match. Also, Brock definitely is a RAW guy as RAW needs him more than anything. Without Brock, RAW really steep downhill.

The Miz did not interact with Nakamura. He just vanished.

Yeah. It was an sad missed opportunity to make the debut bigger.

In fact, you know what else was a missed opportunity? The fact that Cena and NIkki won over the Miz and Maryse. That was a stupid idea that never should have happened for the Miz should have been put over.

Do face vs face or heel vs heel storylines/matches ever end up being effective? Or is a more orthodox formula usually better?

If anything it usually works better in wwe when a heel faces a heel or face vrs face because it avoids the entire cowardly heel versus cocky asshole face thing every wwe feud in recent times normally is. They have to make the story make more sense as a result.
